Smal Posted January 10 Share Posted January 10 He has bags of ability which is why I'm starting to find him a bit frustrating, I think. In his first few games he looked so decisive and made a lot of first time passes and flicks etc. that were really effective. In recent times he seems to need to take a minimum of 3 touches before he does anything, and it's a bit odd. That's when he's up front at least, thought he looked better as a 10 today. There was that perfect outside-of-the-boot pass to Barnes. Simply otherworldly. And when he misses a penalty, even that looks otherworldly – he sends the keeper the wrong way, unleashes a shot like a hammer, the crossbar crashes, and the ball flies back to him. How he rejoices with his teammates and cheers them on. Everything he does looks extraordinary. Even his facial expression after he misses. I've rarely seen such a sad face on a footballer.
