Nick's just not having much luck lately. All his goals have been fantastic.

He could have scored two or three more if his shots hadn't been cleared off the line by outfield players. That happened again today.

At least he had an assist today, and some very good attacking passes were also on the cards.

And I disagree with the statement that he lacks physicality. He's developed brilliantly in just a few months.

In the first half today, he snatched the ball from a Tottenham player near the corner flag with a clean tackle.

Really poor tonight. Not a criticism, I'm sure there are fair reasons, and I like him a lot, but it's really hard to do much when the focal point of your attack isn't on it.

Yeah I thought he was really average too.

Minor gripe. As he rarely has a pass on or a black and white shirt near him. But it feels like when he is tightly marked. He sometimes has an extra touch or two and we lose it. When he often seems to have worked a bit of space to shift the ball. Then has that extra touch that brings the ball closer to the defender.

He’s not a target man and too often we still play like he is. But he is getting better back to goal and we need to support him better. He still looks isolated a lot of the time.

He was quality the first 35 or so, most of the team were. But he did fade out of it a bit. Wissa coming back will save his legs in games like this.

You could say the same for Joelinton tbh. He does give the ball away a few times but the easy option would be just to keep passing it backwards. Instead he tries to get a hold of it, manouevre it into some space before releasing a ball forwards into space. I think only Bruno has the quality to do that regularly from all our midfielders.

Got a ticket through the ballot for last night so wasn't watching on the TV.  I thought he was very poor, adding very little.  Wasn't moving to create options, his little flicks were going to Spurs players.  Losing tackles, winning very few.  The person I was with thought that he needed sunstiting despite us not having anyone on the  bench suitable for the role. Hopefully it was just an off night. Clearly showed what I have thought for sometime.  We desperately need an alternative up front when he's playing like he did last night.  We need to hope that Wissa is fit soon and makes the grade.  Otherwise we will continue to pose little threat to good defenses.

Add all the CL and WC games he’s played - blokes been a bloody hero if you ask me - literally carried the load week in week out

He's always going to give the ball away a few times, the things he's trying to do are just low percentage plays a lot of the time. Chris Wood can pop the ball 20 yards back to where it came from with ease, I don't want Chris Wood.

This is a good point. I'd like to see Nick make the ball stick more when it does go up there but you make a valid point

Training with Wissa will probably help him as well. Wissa himself has made the transition from more all-round player to expert fox in the box.

Yes. Nick is an exceptional player, something different, but he's young and new to the PL.

Good thing is he comes across as intelligent, calm and humble so he should pick things up very quite quickly.
