Is he not doing similar numbers to his first season? Could be way off like.

Yeah but he just seens more inevitable now. I don’t really see him having a game off like in his first year and he’s more talismanic rather than Alvarez, Foden and KDB chipping in. If City score it’s gonna be him.

If Gordon comes straight back in in place of Barnes then something is seriously wrong in howes thinking.

The keeper situation is delicate one as I do believe Ramsdale should get a chance to show his qualities at some point but pope has been good this season bar the odd game here and there.

Does it?

I think so. We're at home, under the lights and despite our terrible away form, we look better on our own turf against "bigger" clubs.

Haaland is in excellent form, but City don't look particularly convincing, losing at Villa and Brighton, while they were fortunate to escape from Brentford with all three points.

We'll definitely give them a game and are more than capable of getting something if we apply ourselves.

I really want a change in formation from Eddie for this one. I’m guessing if he does he’ll go 352, but I’d prefer a 4231 to get people in and around Big Nick.

Ditch the wingers positions and get them inverted in behind him.

Only needs a slight tweak, a 4-2-3-1. 2 in Bruno / Tonali are naturally deeper and Ramsey ahead of them to play closer to Wolte. Our issue in these games is likes of Foden who take up space behind our flat midfield three, and are easily found and they’re running at our defence.

Hall and Trippier at full backs, with Thaiw / Botman at CB, there should be no excuses for not retaining possession. If we’re looking shit with the ball tomorrow, then people need to start to worry.

Argument that Barnes / Murphy should be starting wingers, but these are games Gordon lives for currently, and Elanga pace against this Man City backline has to be utilised. GK situation it would be interesting to see Ramsdale, because Man City press if it’s not spot on can work for us with Ramsdale finding our skilled players feet, rather then going long where it’s an instant turnover.

Hear me out.

4-2-3-1 with Barnes as the striker with Woltemade deeper.

Barnes is a fantastic finisher no doubt, but just like Gordon playing “centrally” doesn’t suit him. Unless they have been working on it of course.

Not sure, Barnes scored a great goal at Brentford but went missing pretty much the whole match and doesn’t really offer any outlet.

Gordon has been poor bar Benfica but on his day is streets ahead.

Nah I'm not having that like Barnes was our best player arguably against Brentford scored a class goal with a bit of quality that Gordon has never achieved.
