Aye, but a bit like the Old Firm (to a lesser extent) at least if it goes tits up you get a chance to put it right fairly quickly.

This is it for months on end.

 I get what you’re saying but Arsenal really is the only one that matters. I’ve never really known a Chelsea fan, but I’ve played with a few Hammers in Essex and East London. Arsenal though, we grew up together. Well we grew up, they got older. Losing to Chelsea is annoying, losing to West Ham is embarrassing, losing to Arsenal is a fucking disaster.

Although they're not really that good and analysis bears that out, I do think Le Bris is a smart tactician.  To think the fickle twats were trying to hound him out at the end of last season and even into the play offs as well.

Much as I rate Miley and think he should be in on merit I'd prioritise experience over everything else in midfield today.

If Miley is starting, I am delighted with that. Needs to become our first choice third centre mid now, a huge career ahead of him!

Wouldn't personally go with Elanga but fingers crossed this is the day it clicks for him. Could be a bad game for Murphy with how much they will press us as he is so poor in possession when under pressure.

I do agree. Although Elanga has hardly looked secure on the ball. I don’t think he is quite as dangerous and loose as Murphy, though.

I need to stop reading this thread and ignore any build up TBH. Really don't know how anyone enjoys these days.

I don't know anyone who it really cuts to the bone with who enjoys these days. In fact I don't know anyone who doesn't hate them.

Those with a more casual interest maybe.

Into these.

Never mind, just saw the Waxxa video.

Easiest 3-0 win for Eddie’s mags I’ve ever seen.

Can see the logic. They’re going to press us like fuck. Elanga’s pace will give them something to think about.

Yep. The idea will be to stop them pressing too high against our midfield. Solid plan.

If elanga starts in guessing we're setting up to counter attack, so we're expecting a lot of early pressure from them. Seems a reasonable assumption. Then maybe Barnes later when we have more control.

2-2. Worried about whichever keeper we field. Think a late equaliser is on the cards as well, but would take that.

You would imagine there full backs will really press the wingers so having the two paciest ones who could turn them and get in behind if they are slightly off the press at any moment seems like a good option to me.

As mentioned by others, if/when the game settles more in the second half having Murphy and/or Barnes on the pitch who are more precise could then become an option.

We have better players man for man so as long as we are well drilled we stand a good chance of winning.
