The summer window was fucked for one reason only with the whole focus of the club around one key player.

Next year we have grown up conversations with all the players before the season ends.

Do you want to stay or go?

If you want to go it's the price before the world cup or you are staying.

No wonder our tactics are fucked when didn't have a striker all summer

Didn't Isak tell us that he wanted to go before the summer? I think Howe confirmed that there had been talks about it, just no promise to let him go.

We knew he wanted to go before the window opened aye.

Minor issue considering the performance overall. But the subs were baffling, I thought.

Never a game for Willock. No space for him to run into and he is ponderous and clumsy on the ball.

Woltemade not staying on to play with Wissa. Which meant crossing was basically pointless. But was also the only way we even looked like creating anything. Wissa against their meathead back line and low block was pointless.

Tonali off and Miley staying on. Right decision to start Miley. But he was anonymous yesterday and we miss Tonali’s legs even when he is off form.

It's pointless crossing for him at the best of times atm anyway because he won't attack the ball. Unless he's facing his own goal obvs.

True. Wasn’t meaning he would suddenly turn into Shearer. Just two strikers in the mixer, knockdowns, scraps, anything really.

But we just went like for like and we were somehow even more ineffective once he went off.

I think our problem yesterday was the wings. Everytime we got the ball out to either flank, we lost possesion. It’s hard to create anything, when you basically have to avoid 2/3 of the pitch in thire half, or you lose possesion. It got better when murphy and barnes came on..

Would be good to see the stats on how many lost duels Gordon and Elanga had. Plenty of running into shins. Gordon had the one with the booking but also the one where he put Burn out the game with a literal hospital pass.

Dunno what to say, worst Derby performance I've seen away from home ever.

Eddie got it wrong on so many levels i cant fathom out what is going wrong, how on earth could they perform like they did?

Very very disappointing shit show

I think they're caught between a rock and a hard place at the moment. They're playing poorly and really should concentrate on getting the basics right, but they're feeling like they need to force situations and try to make something happen, which then fails.

Oh and the more I see it the more I think the challenge on Burn was a red as well. At no point does the defender look to play the ball (he never stretches a foot out, he leads with his knees).

Not hiding from the fact we were shit on the day but only marginally less shit than them. One of those days when XG was spot on.

I'm not a big believer in it, but yesterday it told the story of what was an awful football match.

The worst one was the second yellow for Brobby which wasn't even given as a free kick.

Woke up more pissed off than yesterday. It was completely unacceptable.

Joelinton and Murphy as limited as they may be would have at least got some shots off and offered some physicality. Things that were completely absent. But why the fuck were they absent? Why are we so lacklustre so often?

We look like a squad who have given up and/or are dreaming of their next moves already. Looking at you Gordon and Botman.

That's quite damning though and goes to show how much they've closed the gap on us over the course of one summer. This is a team that limped into 4th position in the championship last season, yet at best we looked their equivalent yesterday in terms of ability, and much less hungry in terms of desire.

For all those people who said it didn't matter if we lost the derby, I hope you're having a great day today where your place of work or social media feed isn't full of reminders that we lost to these fuckers.

Its a club that limped to 4th. I think 2 that started yesterday were there last season.
