Beren Posted March 18 Share Posted March 18 Watching back the cup final from last year, it was really stark how good we were at closing down opposition on the edge of our box compared to this year. I think having to double up out wide to help Trippier has played a part - but I'm hopeful with Tino and Hall back, Tonali and Joelinton can defend the edge with tenacity. I believe! I agree with Willock for Barnes and Tino for Trips, and also Murphy for Elanga. Willock better with defensive work and also good for counter, and Barnes been playing lots lately. Tino for the 1 v 1 defending vs Raphinha or Rashford and gets us up the pitch, but Trippier will likely be preferred for his experience.
