[CL RO16, 2nd leg] Barcelona vs. Newcastle United (1-1 agg.) : 18/3/26 @ 17:45 (TNT Sport)

I'm more worried that we'll get done by a shit refereeing decision than I am about us getting blown away.

Think we have a chance, a small one, but a chance nonetheless.

Odds are probably correct on both matches. Sunderland will have some degree of hope as have we tomorrow. Another draw tomorrow might not be too unreasonable and pens are horrific but I'd take them if offered now.

Was behind a Muslim at the cash machine earlier today. He dropped his card and I picked it up and handed it to him. He said "You've done a favour for me, now I'll do one for you. Don't go to the match tonight" I said "why?" and he said "because it's tomorrow"

Very excited for this. Maybe a bit of a free hit for us - no one really expects us to go through so hopefully the players can just enjoy the occasion which could work to our advantage. If the referee tolerates our physicality we have an even better chance.

Haha, when we lost 3-1 in the rain delayed Barca match we spent the day on the lash jumped in a taxi to the ground. We were completely unaware that it had been postponed, did the taxi driver tell us, did he fuck. He took his fare and drove off, presumably laughing his head off.

Opta reckon Barca are only 56% to do it in normal time.  Given their home record, that's pretty fucking low.

Please note that I am not a gambler and this is not intended to encourage it. All I want is for us to not step on the pitch expecting defeat. They're going to play a high line against Anthony Gordon and are a team of midgets likely against BDB, Thiaw, and Joelinton. Of course we have a chance.

Gut feeling is that it'll be like playing against 12 men. Difficult enough without a referee that I reckon is very likely to favor them with a big decision or two. We will have to be more than perfect to win this game. I think we'll be more or less perfect but lose out because of something very fucking iffy.

How many academy players in your team?

One. And he’s injured.

*well, there will be others on the bench tomorrow, but very unlikely any of them actually get any minutes.
