So if my maths is right that's 57 played and 28 won which is just shy of 50% win rate in his time there and ultimately not on course to win the title as planned or anything for that matter.

Tbf the Chelsea job seems very difficult. And I'm not basing that on Rosenior struggling, I know that he's probably not a top notch manager. Since Boehly came in Maresca has been miles better than the other ones that has tried.

Marseca is a fraud imo. Leicester started their Championship season like a whirlwind but got worked out and they ended up stumbling over the line.

His time at Chelsea was basically a replication of that.

He’s Pep-lite and unless we bought a whole new squad his very stubborn approach to his brand of football would end up in disaster.

It'll be Mourinho. Pretty certain they see him as the man to get players over the line. Rest doesn't matter, they just want to land their targets 1st time of asking.

Frank

EtH? (He around)

Almiron

Maresca

Spoilt for choice.

As in a sort of player manager role? Interesting. Who was the last Player Manager the Premier League seen?

With that footballing IQ of his, he would really shine as a manager. Especially his ability to allways just laugh and smile in bad moments will get the players truly fired up.

Iraola, Xabi Alonso or Glasner would be my preferred 3. I think the former and latter would be easily achievable unless Man Utd or Chelsea get involved and Alonso would probably depend on what Liverpool decide to do with Slot.

I'd imagine the remaining fixtures and performances will have a bearing on whether they decide to stick with Eddie or not.

Still a lot of football to be played

Stuart Pearce was it not.  Beat Arsenal in his first game. Lets see Miggy do the same.

Fabregas would be my top choice, would come with an element of risk but would bring excitement and ability to attract players. Would increase our profile considerably which is important for club growing financially and internationally.

After that i’d go for the Stuttgart manager and then Iraola.

Fabregas

His team were 2 nowt up tonight just gone 3-2 behind

Make that 28 points from winning positions

Eventually lost 3-4 having 23 shots, 8 on target to Inter's 8 with 5 on target 4 of which were goals

Don't really pay that much attention to games outside of Newcastle, so I have no idea.

But if we are going to make a change, I just want someone who creates technically good teams. I want to have exciting players to watch again.

I wanted Eddie before he came to us and I still think he deserves a bit more time (due to the shambolic window last summer), but dropping 25 points proves his in game management is appaling and far too passive. The frustrating thing is that for a manager who always seems to want to learn and develop, this is a real blind spot of his.

I've always thought there is barely a fag paper between Howe and Emery, but it's Emery's in game management that raises him above Eddie for me - he leaves so few points on the table in comparison and gets the most out of the squad at his disposal.

Who if not Eddie? Then like @Wallsendmag above I'd go Iraola, Alonso or Glasner. Of the three I'd prefer the first two and Iraola might be my preference as I think he's more available and would stick around for the project, whereas if we did get Alonso I could see him jumping ship as soon as Slot is gone (which won't be long).
