Did I mention it was going to be one of those games everyone slagged the starting line-up and Howe shuts everyone up again? Did I also mention that this was the game we finally turned up? Am I gloating? Yes, yes and damn straight

Never do this until the result is won, it'll bite you on the arse, you just know it.  I want to gloat, but not yet, just not yet.

I feel like even if we win it's far too early for anyone to gloat, we've had plenty of false dawns this season and need to see performances like this for 90 minutes across multiple matches.

That Pope howler post hit is trending on socials

It was just the statue-esque gaze from him after it cannoned off their player that got me [emoji38]

No, only that we've had significantly more chances than they have

Not as close as Brightons imo.

Would give anything for a comfortable seeing out second half for a change and go on to bag a few more goals. Game seems set up for Gordon to come on at some point and get space in behind.

ok but the xG, which is the only data we have to measure this with any accuracy, is 2.14 - 0.34 (which is as good as nowt) in our favour.

0.98 vs 0.25 at HT on the page I'm looking at.

Their attempts that went off the post and crossbar f,ex will have very low xg regardless of how close they were to be goals.
