I hate all these clauses. Hoover up the young talent with your riches, sell them off and insert sell-on and buyback clauses so you can continue earning millions from them later in their career.

Is the player contractually obliged to sign for them? If not, why can’t he just tell them to fuck off and sign for the club that actually wants him?

He doesn’t have to re-sign with them but I expect he will if the opportunity is there.

I think so, but i believe there's only a certain amount of clubs you can play for in a season.

In that case he's not serious about coming here anyway.

If they spun him a story of ‘you’ve got the first half of the season to impress, then we’ll see where we’re at come the next window’, it’s Real Madrid, I would get he would want to give it a shot.

But they’re going to sell him the same window, waste of everyone’s time, and would hope he just fucks them off.

RM usually have really high sell on clauses so they don’t need to bring them back to just sell them.

I think buy backs often require Real to keep the player for a year.  So they rather just get the sell on fee.

They never re bought Kubo or Hakimi just to resell them.  They took the sell on fee (well in think Kubos buy back has expired).

They brought back Morata and Odegaard and didn’t sell them for a full season. They did loan out Odegaard in the Jan window though.

50% for academy players.

Besiktas did it with Tammy Abraham

Real also have a buy-back clause in place for Nico Paz. You'd think they won't activate two, and that Paz is a more sure thing at this point.

Would he though if it is clearly a money spinning move for them that turns him in little more than a commodity to be sold

Tick tock ya cunts. Watch this lad pop off in the WC and become £50m+

Suppose once Jaouen is through the door we may see more movement. Medical is today right?

Was watching the geordie journos a week or so ago and they were saying it's basically the same strategy as it was last summer.

With the way we went about it which doesn't fill you with confidence in getting these deals done quickly.

By all accounts he has 40 Million Euro release clause

He could have the greatest tournament ever, no one is paying more than the clause for him

Obviously, if he does tear it up that would make it less likely that he would come here

They insert these types of buy back on a lot of the youngsters they sell.

Nico Paz and Ramon have buy back options that increase marginal every year for a fixed period.

Really clever from them.

I think it's exploitative tbh.

We'll only sell you this player if you accept a buy back knowing full well these clubs have no chance of buying players of that quality in their own right because all the young talent is already hoovered up by these clubs.

Same strategy just with Wilson on board now.

If they mean tussle with the big six to sign Premier League proven players, they look well off the mark so far.
