I think most would be happy with a copy of the mackem SoL as long as it had an 80,000 capacity.

Fuck off man.  It's a piece of lego.

More like duplo. Lego on the cheap. I’m telling you though. It’s more about the capacity than the quality/history for most.

I gave this a like but I still have no idea what duplo is.

Duplo is lego just made for you kids, it's not that much cheaper either as I often find with my young grandkid

Give me a proper clean and modern football stadium that is properly football, towering over the city like SJP.

I always thought SJP was a bit of an eyesore tbh - Newcastle has one of the most beautiful city centres in the country.  A pile of concrete, steel and glass shouldn’t be towering over it.

An 80k SOL replica doesn’t actually leave us much better off.  The point would be to increase commercial revenues, not try and sell an extra 30k cheap seats.

One of the most awful NUFC photos of all time, taken from the top of Grey's Monument in 2011.

Sorry for the nightmares . . .

Wonder how many fans would have still bought and worn a shirt with SD plastered on the front

Support the team not the regime etc etc etc

Would’ve still sold loads

Can’t believe Ashley got away with what he did here. We are soft as shite as a fanbase.

Agree with this, although it's probably not a popular opinion among football fans. Having a football stadium bang in the city centre is great for a lot of reasons, but aesthetics isn't one of them.

When is the new club shop opening? I thought I heard it would be ready for Brighton at the weekend a while back?

Walked past it at the Wimbledon game and it looks miles off completion.

I have always thought that the current SJP is a spectacular looking place and therefore very pleasing on the eye . . .

It looks better in the daylight, the photo I posted is the only one I have, and VERY spectacular it is too !!

I'm sure plenty of group members on here will have a daylight photo for you.
