I was saying in a group chat yesterday that we need to hear more details soon. We need to have confirmation of where the new stadium will be, capacity numbers, other details, and tenders etc. If we keep just getting snippets, then all we are doing is continuing to argue over hypotheticals, which won’t help the fanbase move forward on the issue. Those who want to stay will continue to want to stay, those who want to move will continue to want to move, and we’ll all be arguing over details that we don’t know. We have had 2 years of a stadium move being discussed, we have had the club saying the smallest things to supporters whilst saying that more detail will come very soon. Understand the frustration but telling people making a decision that is liable to cost one and half billion pound to ‘just get on with it, man’, feels a bit silly. However, they have no obligation to give us the full details nor to move things along as quickly as possible. I think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you’re hanging on this news dropping all the time. Lad sat to the right of me said it's been like that for years. We've got a once in a generation chance here and we need to take it. Of course I'll be sad to leave the old place but nothing lasts forever and the timing is absolutely right to move. A new 70k stadium immediately moves us into the elite level of clubs. It probably values the club at £3bn+. We wouldn't be handicapped with stadium development debt like Arsenal and Spurs were/are. All the pros without any of the cons. No brainer really. In fairness nothing official has been said, so it hasn’t been the club teasing. Douglas has released the same, rewritten article about 12 times for example. midds Posted February 24 Share Posted February 24 I get the frustration but they've not bought a shed from amazon, they're seriously thinking about slapping down over a billion quid on a stadium, that decision is going to take some amount of consideration. It's a huge project with many minefields including massive opposition from some groups that needs to be mitigated before it's announced.
