Can't wait for the announcement out of the blue confirming new stadium and work to begin immediately.

Can't wait to then spend the next 7 years complaining over every minor detail.

On both of his tweets, the bald fucker has used the words unlikely and could. Covering his basis as usual, as there is no way he will be getting direct info from today's meeting

Adam Pearson’s new content sorted, shouting at construction workers for not working harder.

Just 70 years since we last won a domestic trophy.

SJP is cursed land and we've seen close to a lifetime of failure there.

I love the place, but I'm firmly in the move camp.

We need a fresh start.

"Hail to the 1969 European fairs cup winners, baby"

Sorry, just made me chuckle that little tagline.

I think fans are just going to start getting pissed off if we keep hearing whispers but never getting details.

I was saying in a group chat yesterday that we need to hear more details soon. We need to have confirmation of where the new stadium will be, capacity numbers, other details, and tenders etc. If we keep just getting snippets, then all we are doing is continuing to argue over hypotheticals, which won’t help the fanbase move forward on the issue. Those who want to stay will continue to want to stay, those who want to move will continue to want to move, and we’ll all be arguing over details that we don’t know.

We have had 2 years of a stadium move being discussed, we have had the club saying the smallest things to supporters whilst saying that more detail will come very soon.

Make a fucking decision, tell the fans, move the fuck on.

Understand the frustration but telling people making a decision that is liable to cost one and half billion pound to ‘just get on with it, man’, feels a bit silly.

They have been teasing that they are making decision soon for quite a while, and that more details will come out. The soon can keeps getting kicked down the road.

Even if they are just telling fans the details of the 2 options, just let us know.

It’s an entitled view in my opinion. Of course we’d all love full details, we’d also like things to move as quickly as possible. However, they have no obligation to give us the full details nor to move things along as quickly as possible. I think you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you’re hanging on this news dropping all the time. Just get on with your lives as usual and then react when the news actually comes out

How dare they not give you details. Get Mandy on the blower mate, get her to buy the club again.

Pathetic isn't it?  Just let the club experts get on with it.  They are doing a great job.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren't you originally in the camp of staying at SJP?

I know pre-takeover and early days of the takeover, I was excited about the prospect of an expanded SJP.

I just can’t see how it’s viable now. SJP has been left behind, and short of rebuilding it, which can’t happen for various reasons, it’s not going to give us what we want.

More pressingly, as someone who has been to hundreds of games, and even when I had season tickets etc, I always tried to get to at least 1 match per season, if not more.

I’m now in a position where I hardly get to go because of the demand, and there are others just like me.

SJP does offer us what we thought it could in the pre-takeover and early days of the takeover.

The club has missed chances on numerous things in the past, the Leazes Park stadium from the 90’s. The expanded SJP from the mid 2000’s, the takeovers that happened to Chelsea, and Man City.

We eventually got our takeover, now we need the stadium.

No I've always been in the camp of moving unless we can develop SJP to the size and stature of a brand new stadium, in a good location of course. SJP feels really tired these days. It looks dated and the atmosphere argumentcan't  be used, as it's usually poor. We actually got wet at the match yesterday because the roof in Level 7 had a bad leak. Lad sat to the right of me said it's been like that for years.

We've got a once in a generation chance here and we need to take it. Of course I'll be sad to leave the old place but nothing lasts forever and the timing is absolutely right to move.

A new 70k stadium immediately moves us into the elite level of clubs. It probably values the club at £3bn+. We wouldn't be handicapped with stadium development debt like Arsenal and Spurs were/are. All the pros without any of the cons. No brainer really.

In fairness nothing official has been said, so it hasn’t been the club teasing.

Douglas has released the same, rewritten article about 12 times for example.

E.g Atmosphere will be better, more revenue will mean we’re better on the pitch (see Spurs), increase likelihood of getting into the ground etc.

But understand I’m probably in the minority

Spurs will still be paying off their stadium for years to come. Regardless of the increase in revenue, that will always handicap them. We'd have no such problems there.

Patience definitely needed but suspect It will be well worth the wait, 70k stadium taller than SJP, new green space and regeneration of area, stuff we could only dream of under Ashley exciting times.

No point announcing it until they know they can do it.

If the question is have they made the decision then it’s a yes clearly you’d think.

Can they carry out that decision. We will wait and see.

The price goes up over time usually in these matters. They should make a decision.

Where is Edwards getting 7 years from? Do we really trust he had that information confirmed?

Spurs took 3 years, Emirates 2, Everton 3. 7 seems a stretch even if it means building over the footprint.

They've already been here over 2.5 years, What's the odds we get to 5 years with them still deliberating, then they announce they're not doing anything because it takes too long?

To build, aye.

The thing still needs to be designed, planned etc.

I get the frustration but they've not bought a shed from amazon, they're seriously thinking about slapping down over a billion quid on a stadium, that decision is going to take some amount of consideration. It's a huge project with many minefields including massive opposition from some groups that needs to be mitigated before it's announced. It'll happen, it's a huge deal and whatever they decide to build could be there for a hundred years, they need to get it right
