Ashley/SD get publicity, the club get some money, Wonga get a pat on the back and the fans get the stadium looking half decent again.

Everybody wins, and common sense prevails.

Financial management should be taught at school.  Would stop a number of people getting into trouble immediately.

Maths?

Some good news

When is APR etc taught in maths, I'd bet quite a few people coming out of school don't understand anything to do with terms like that.

Yeah I know I'm just kidding, there should be some of it taught.

Closest you get is calculating simple and compound interest on an investment. Nothing else is on the syllabus in that area and the exam boards don't test it so we don't teach it.

Are supporters really going to buy shirts with fucking Wonga on it? Must be fucking dickheads if they do.

;D ;D

Aye, we need something classy on it, like maybe Bet365, Zoopla, Genting Casinos, Standard Chartered or even Tullow Oil's Invest in Africa thing.

People spending more than their means is something I'll never understand. I can't even begin to understand people who take out finance on cars.

I agree with your sentiments, but as someone who couldn't get finance and therefore had to pay for his car outright, I beg to differ on car finance. If you can't afford to buy the car outright but can afford the repayments from finance, its the only real way to get a decent motor. Same applies to a house. Obviously if you can't afford the finance.... don't get the finance!

RE Wonga, they are basically a legitimate loan shark as are simlar companies. They obviously provide a good product though otherwise people wouldn't use them and it does seem that the only way you gets screwed is if you don't keep up with your repayments which is the same with any finance realy.

I know people who have used them before and have nowt but good words to say about them.

In the latest news, wonga don't take the roof from your head when you can't afford the 1776% interest on your free sports direct poster (and massive fucking free mug).

Oi, dont slag off the massive mug, best pen holder i've ever had, you can get 100 pens in that like.

This is a good move from Wonga tbf, their marketing team are coming up with the goods but still doesn't dismiss that the nature of their business is morally wrong.

The aerial view of St James' Park will be something to behold again though. The stadium was always marred by that hideous sign on the top of the Gallowgate roof so to see it finally gone is only a good thing.
