Kid Icarus Posted March 8 Share Posted March 8 Malick Thiaw in Heaton Park with his family. I couldn't deal with being a Newcastle player in public like that like. Everyone was nice and relatively respectful, but imo if a player's with their family they're off limits and you just leave them alone. A couple of people spoke to him briefly and loads more he'd have felt the stares, side-eyes, murmurs of his name etc. We did nothing and weirdly ended up having a nice few moments where my daughter was on the trampoline and nephew was kicking a ball about with his kid. Thiaw passed it to my nephew who had no idea what had just happened but was absolutely buzzing when I told him he'd "just played football with a Newcastle player" afterwards.
