LFEE
With Krul around he wasn't going to get the spot of number one keeper he wanted, so it's irrelevant really. Good save from Sanchez today. Got down low like a flash. That was what I meant. Did we pick the right keeper to get the number one spot? Forster is developing into a great keeper now but I think had he stayed here with Fat Bantz then he'd be nowhere near the same keeper and possibly vice versa. He not a patch on Krul, even in Krul's dipped form he doesn't come close. Only thing is Krul's injuries. I'd agree with this. Forster is bang average. This... Still Remember his performance down at Leeds which was his big opportunity to shine...
Fenham Mag
Canny bump this, seems like the big man is coming back to take Ruddys 4th GK spot.

JT24
I like to think I played a part in this. If I hadn’t mentioned it to @HawK in the Longstaff topic who knows if the scouts would have clued on.

SEMTEX
He's home grown still right? Basically a freebie. At one point I trawled for NUFC homegrown players we could bring in. All I got was Krul and tumbleweed.

Superior Acuña
Would be nice if he could get a game in a cup match against lower league opposition- he never made a competitive appearance for us.
Kanj
I used to think he was one who got away. Glad to hear this could happen.
toontownman
Im down for this. Was surprised he never made a competitive appearance for us. Fucking loved Timmie boy though, but giving Fraser an appearance to complete his story would be neat.

Your right, people still fume over the right back we paid a million pounds for from West ham (who's name escapes me, that's how inconsequential of a signing it was)
RUHRLYASLEEVESUP
Was a very decent keeper in 2008, feel he wasn't the same when he last played for us in 2012, still great work from Mitchell, staying professional "Til the end"

Gola
Would've preferred Krul too. Just because he played for us I guess, and had some amazing games (his debut and Spuds away). If we'd have signed Krul I'd have bought a goalie kit with Krul on the back. Maybe we could sign both? Ship the Greek and Dubz. Sign Trafford, Forster and Krul! Gola
Also, Krul looked like a frog for some reason. Especially in that green kit.
Optimistic Nut
I admire Forster for not just settling on being a Harper or Ameobi. Did great at Celtic & Southampton, played for England. Went and made the best of himself once it was clear we favoured Krul at the time.

Remember him playing for the reserves away at either blue star or benfield (can’t remember which), got stuffed 5-1 and he got lobbed from outside the box twice Anyone who was at the Leeds friendly will know how bad he is too. Still, for free and cheap wages, he’s worth it for third choice and the added benefit of homegrown quota.
GallowgatePigeon
Fraser Forster for Celtic vs Barca in 2012 & vs Rangers in the 2019 League Cup Final are two of the most astonishing goalkeeping performances you'll ever see. Tim Krul vs Spurs levels of heroism. Go watch the highlights.
