Mick
I'd take him back,, Enrique on the left and Santon on the right would be a good upgrade when you add the understanding he had with Jonas and Coloccini.
AlanSkÃrare
We know that José is as good as a left back gets in this league. Having him and Santon as full backs would be fucking awesome.
aussiemag
Rodgers doesn't like him because he plays too direct, am I right?
nobby_solano
probably, he probably doesn't want him going over the half way line, just passing forward and sideways as many times as he can

Skirge
Luke Edwards @LukeEdwardsTele Jose Enrique will be dumped by #lfc in Jan? Would #nufc want him back. I always said he's suspect defensively, made better player by Jonas! Expand Reply Retweet Favorite
Guest palnese
One-on-one he's/was a beast defensively.
aussiemag
One-on-one he's/was a beast defensively. This. He was questionable positionally at times. But generally an excellent defender. His biggest weakness was his inability to play the correct pass or put a decent cross in when we were attacking.
Klaus
My only complaint about him when he was playing here, was that he used to try and play the ball out of defence in dangerous areas/situations, rather than just booting it to safety. It looked good when it came off, but wasnt worth the risk most of the time.
Ketsbaia
Buying Enrique would mean Santon is out of position, so no thanks. I'd rather get a different purple.
Dinho lad
Out of position in RB?
Lotus
What does Santon offer going forward from LB? Crosses, no. Cutting in and playing a killer through ball? No. Shots? No. Running towards the byline, stopping turning around and rolling the ball to someone else? Yes.
Guest neesy111
Out of position in RB? Yes, even he says he is out of position there.

Skirge
I got slated for saying I a, not convinced with him as a LB and would prefer him at RB, but all we need is to sign an actual fkn LB in January and move Santon over. its simples Not to sure that LB should be Jose though
Yorkie
Literally never thought he was suspect defensively. Would have him back in a heartbeat; fucking quality left-back who's gone bad at a thoroughly shit club.

Would have him back in a heartbeat; fucking quality left-back who's gone bad at a thoroughly shit club. It's bizarre man. Carroll couldn't have looked less like a professional athlete at Liverpool. Now at Upton Park, he's beginning to demonstrate the footwork which made me think he could really be something (in addition to his obvious aerial and physical strengths). Guest firetotheworks
Suspect defensively? Hmm, I don't think so. One on one he was nigh on unbeatable. I suppose he was sometimes suspect from crosses, but not a lot. His stray passing was his problem. Other than that, I loved him and can't ever pretend otherwise. I prefer Santon at LB than at RB though, so...

Very difficult to get round the outside of him, but with a bit of agility you could beat him inside - and the more central he was pulled, the less effective a defender he became. Davy Ren
Why all this talk about moving Santon to RB? He quite clearly offers more going forward as a LB then he does on the other side, he looks uncomfortable playing there to be honest. Just sign a RB!!!
