  1. Past hour
  2. Don't know which bores me more, Ronaldo or the very concept of the Saudi league... Mind you, if they offered me a contract I'd take it. I'm in the best form I've been in for over 50 years.
  3. 61m EUR/~£51m according to Bild today. I do wonder if we might be interested in him given he can play up front, as a number 10 and as a wide forward. That's possibly the same price we'll be trying to get Joao Pedro for though I suspect (not that I think Brighton will let us have him for less than £60m)
  4. I feel like the 'now playing for Nottingham Forest' bit should mean this thread just gradually slides off the front page.
  5. Makes me laugh that every journalist worth his salt is saying it ain’t a goer for a wide variety of reasons but they’ve worked themself into such a frenzy about it they are adamant they know better. Odd.
  6. He's too small and weak. Looks good for the U21s but I've been underwhelmed by him in the PL. Plus he would cost north of £40m
  7. In that case it will happen. These days clubs very rarely keep a player against their will. It will either be that he signs for us or gets an enormous wage hike.... which might create a new set of problems for Forest.
  8. Think there’s a valid argument for a few. But it’s just because he’s English and playing for a lesser side, he won’t get the traction. He’ll be in full England set up this season, 100%, then his name will start getting linked to the top sides as we head towards summer 2026. I think he’d be great for Arsenal and compliment Rice / Odegaard. Decent Prem Level player for me is a very good player. Get them in a side that has more of that level with a couple of exceptional players, you have a title challenging side.
  9. @Froggy How was he seen as a player/prospect when he was at Man Utd?
  10. Yup, he's a very sad attention seeking whopper.
  11. I think the stunt on instagram in the toon shirt was a bit of a giveaway. I’m warming to this. Can see him and Isak linking up well, it’s definitely an improvement in that position, right age, fast as fuck, can shoot with both feet and is coming off the back of a great season with Forest.

It really annoyed me like. But this building work really has to be done today. Tough call
  13. Of course he wants to join but he has 3 more years left on his desk with forest and seems keen to keep him. So is Elanga willing to request a transfer and forego both his reputation and his loyalty bonus. This also wouldn't guarantee anything. Not much difference in our position with Isak if we are being honest.
  14. Aye but all UEFA can do is issue a fine. If you have billions but are only able to spend millions, a few thousand pounds isn't going to deter you. I suppose Juventus got their ban didn't they, but Man City's was overturned. I assume Juventus hired the wrong lawyers.
  15. You’d assume if we did make a concentrated effort last season to sign him, Elanga would’ve informed agent he’d want to move next summer if deal was there again (and things like us in UCL happened). Very much doubt we’d have gone back in if the message wasn’t there he wants to join. It just ends in Guehi situation where player may want it, but club doesn’t. Considering we both helped each out last summer and had exceptional seasons on the back of it (where it could’ve been different), there should be some good will in the negotiations to get it done quick.
  16. I think it will be interesting to see the value Villa place on the women's team should they sell, obviously Chelsea are the dominant side and have been for a good while so you would expect them to be worth more but a big portion of the value is a punt \ expectation of revenues in the future when or if the WSL becomes a lot more viable. If that is the case then the values should be similar and even us selling a non WSL team would be able to bank \ claim similar amounts, however I do believe this can only be done once so if they do under value compared to real levels of income in the future then they will have short changed themselves. Obviously if you are using as a short term hack then the short changing doesn't matter.
  17. Harvey Elliott Convince me otherwise
  18. I think if Villa wish to proceed with selling their wsl team to themselves, they'll do it with no issues, the Premier league will do nothing. It's times like these I wish we'd start taking the piss a bit. Having to sell Minteh and Anderson seems mental to try and play by the rules while Chelsea, Man City, Villa seemingly don't care and explore alternative exploits.
  19. Sima

I'd kick him off the job immediately and wait for someone else.

Got some builders over this morning, one wearing a Liverpool shirt and I happened to have one of my Newcastle shirts on. "Sounds like we're getting Isak doesn't it" he says. "No it fucking doesn't actually, so how about you fuck off"
  21. The only way this deal happens is if Forest see the writing on the wall. Elanga's camp need to be clear on his desires.
