Would like to see us play the ball more into the central zone between the centre circle and the opposition penalty area. Think it's zone 11 and 14 when they divvy up the pitch. Ideally it would not be Isak receiving the ball here but one of our wide forwards or one of the CMs. Bruno has the passing skills to make that work but not the pace to escape a recovering defender. JL has the power and pace to drive forward but lacks the ability to play a killer ball (his stats bear this out). I don't honestly think Gordon or Murphy can do it either. Barnes, maybe.... It's very much a position Bournemouth use to great effect. It really opens a team up. We've seen it done to us. We love going down the wings. We're very cross heavy. We're 3rd so it's clearly got lots of merit. When we occasionally go through the middle though I think Isak really comes alive.

I'm not convinced that City will beat both Bournemouth and Fulham and can see Southampton getting something against Arsenal last day the way Arsenal have been playing recently. So even a draw on Sunday and I think 2nd is a real possibility

Kind of, but even then you have Dan Burn, who played a very competent LB for ages. Krafth too. And we will need versatility in the system they can play, too. I think it's different but even by CB standards, I still think we want versatile players.

Agree, but I think you can except CB from the list as well.

If we have learned anything from the last few seasons, it's that Howe prizes versatility more than most. I would imagine that every player we target (apart from Trafford obv) would be able to play multiple positions at a high level. Any rumour involving anyone who doesn't can be immediately dismissed.

I have a feeling (maybe a stupid, hopeless one) that Man Utd might at least get a draw against Chelsea. Their defeat to West Ham was so bad and with Amorim pretty much telling his players off to the media, hopefully they atleast don't just lie down on Friday. They have somehow dugged up some big esults against the big teams this season like City and Liverpool away so hopefully they can do something. Spurs are hopeless though. Villa win. Any dropped points by the others, we'd have our tails up for our match on Sunday.
