Wonder who Jim’s going to fire today to make himself feel better about this
-
Brownhill scored 18 goals from midfield and didn't get in the team of the season? Championship has gone woke.

Froggy if the Glazers cost you 2bn, then the best comparison to that for NUFC under Ashley would be the cumulative difference in revenue between NUFC and THFC over the Ashley period, i.e. money left on the table, to give it its proper name. When Ashley took over, we were the same financial size. Using the difference between the two club's trajectories shows that over 14 years of Ashley, we left much more than a billion. I rough calculated and for the 4 seasons from 2018/19 to 21/22, the difference is about a billion. Given what has happened under strict PSR rules since PIF have come in, shows that the trajectory by THFC was at least 'on the table'. Given relative circumstances, you could argue that a slightly lower total overall financial impact for us was multiple times more damaging.

He's a quality footballer, I watch him every week. He will go this summer to Dortmund, I actually think his name gets him a bad rep purely because people are always looking to compare him to his brother at every opportunity. He hasn't got the same ability as Jude and never will have but he will be a very good player in a top division in years to come. Dortmund will be buying him for his potential not for the here and now (Although I would expect him to play quite a bit when he moves) Birmingham giving him away wasn't strictly true, He wanted a clear pathway to playing senior football and bearing in mind he was only 17 at the time we presented that for him. We have numerous coaches and a sporting director who helped him and Jude massively at Birmingham through the academy and moved to us, We were simply lucky to get him as everything was aligned and made sense for both parties. The three midfielders in the team of the season this year are Bellingham, Hamer and Tanaka from Leeds. Bellingham is 7 years younger than both and his stats are better than both in quite a few metrics. He's definitely more of a box to box / breaking up the play midfielder than one that's going to bang goals in. If we get close to 40M Euro for him though, it's great business for us as it frees up a fair bit of cash for PSR or whatever the bollocks it is.

We've listened tbf, it's just that everyone to a man disagrees. No one's forcing you to keep claiming they're worse than Ashley and people are always going to bite when you keep doing it. Your club could have still succeeded in spite of the Glazers, but mismanaged the huge funds for players it was given. We didn't even have those funds to mismanage in the first place, survival was the business model. That's what it boils down to and none of that is controversial like. You admitted yourself to not really knowing much about how Ashley ran the club.

That's something i've noticed a lot while reading this thread the last few days, you're in the CL! act like it, I feel like the team finished 10th with how some are talking.
-
Getting players who aren't even good enough to get in mid table teams. Class.
-
Can we have talk of Brentford's transfer policy in the Other Club's Transfers thread where it belongs pls.
-
You'd know about receding hairlines Rocker son.
-
Thanks mate, I've not been keeping up with other teams as much as previous years. I just remember people were fawning over him a relatively short while ago.
-
Yeah, but... look at us. How can you say we're not paying for this? We're quite clearly trying to fix the wage bill and transfer situation as well.
-
Couple of bald cunts arguing over a comb.
-
He was terrible for at least 6 months of the season.
-
Been done mate, several times

I've spent 15 years on this forum. I feel like I'm as well placed as any opposition fan to understand how bad it was under Ashley/Pardew etc. and I fully supported you in your revolts against the ownership. Do you think there's a chance that maybe the shoe is on the other foot, and maybe you don't know just how bad the Glazer ownership has been? Maybe we're both being ignorant? Anyway, I really don't want to continue this here. I know I can get carried away and derail threads when the discussion involves my club, and I genuinely hate doing that. Happy to post away in the Man United thread.

I thought people were big on Semenyo? What's happened?
-
Really hope we don’t go for Semenyo.
-
I don't.
-
Don’t let Froggy ruin our own transfer thread with his Man U bs.
-
Can't have it both ways and celebrate out blue/secret transfers like Tonali then moan not getting updates.
-
I very much doubt it. Most their starting 11 are worth between £20-£80 million, and that's without factoring in the generational talents. I see them top 3 candidates on that basis alone, and with Tunnock's Teacakes flag displays, the world is their John Oster!
