  1. Past hour
  2. New Cattle is absolutely amazing, fair play to the galaxy brain who came up with that. I wonder what else he has up his sleeve. Piddles Borough? Ever Tongue? Aston Vanilla?
  3. He’s a Mad Lads Fan; great at getting through crowds.
  4. They are owned by a very rich man in terms of real losses. For PSR success on the pitch is really what drives revenues. Thats Villa’s goal.
  5. Today
  6. Yes, my yearly sub went out of bank on 5th June. Might be different for international membership?
  7. The whole thing has been allowed to drift for years, decades even. Now we’re at a point we’re it’s become so ridiculous, something has to be done, but legislation is so far behind the touts, we don’t know where to start.
  8. They also need to give better protections to buyers as well especially as football tickets get much more expensive. Buying a ticket that you can't legally sell on if you can't make it for me should be illegal with this membership and digital ticketing stuff.
  9. I suppose the news is that the UK government might actually attempt to do something about it. Whether they follow through on that, and if they do, whether it’s anything that actually makes any difference, is questionable.
  10. I can’t even remember, I think I had an email saying my membership would renew automatically, is that right?
  11. I have to say this is old news by the BBC, it's been known for years in the IT industry that scalping etc is done by hiring people out into the east to get around bot detection etc since it's cheap.

  13. Harvey Elliott is good, just far too small. He'd be an excellent signing for someone but doubt he'd fit in here. I get not taking U21 tournaments too seriously, but Anderson did it week in week out in the Premiership, the U21 games are just a decent opportunity to see his style for anyone who didn't see much of Forrest.

I thought there'd be no issues with him returning for pre-season but it looks like the injury was more serious than I thought. Going by that he'll possibly miss the start of pre-season. Hope he's up to fitness for 16 August.
  15. I dont give any credit to U21 games. Poor Finland nearly won that Dutch side. Harvey Elliott has also looked good in this tournament. And yes, I have watched him. I dont see a player who would start for top6. If Anderson starts more than 30 games for UCL team in 3-4 years, I will buy you a pint. edit. He is nowhere near Joelinton’s level atm
  16. Do you mean in PSR terms? If so that depends right especially if they continue with the rolling cycle as it is now. Squad cost however will kill both us and them.
  17. Didn’t realise Villa losses were so huge. Doesn’t feel sustainable at all their model moving forward, can sell women’s team for a short term boost to help with PSR but the losses are still going to be coming thick and fast.

I thought it was a broken bone in his foot?

What was the ankle injury he had? Feels more serious then I thought if he’s only just now back running.
  20. Have you actually watched him last season? He has very little footprint on the internet for some reason, so it's been hard to see him without actually watching Forrest or the England U21s, but he's looked excellent. He covers a lot of ground and wins the ball all over the pitch, can make line breaking passes, switches it with ease, and can dribble through if needed. He broke through the Dutch midfield last night with an outrageous turn near the 90th minute. The Bruno regen comments are spot on. He'd arguably be starting over Joelinton and given he's only 22 his attacking output could improve too.
  21. Didn’t start first 4 games, but come off bench in all 4. Then started started 4 in a row, completing 90 mins in 3 of them, then back on bench for 9th game. Mixed in with 2 appearances off the bench in UCL. Then his back injury ruled him out until March, missing essentially 4 full months which is often the busy months. Then starts 50% of remaining 12 league games when he’s back from injury in our push for Europe. Coming off bench in rest of them. That’s plenty of minutes for a breakout season and it’s silly to say otherwise. That’s what you want from a young player and what we would’ve wanted for Miley this season gone.
  22. Chelsea will get the ‘benefit of the doubt’ for being the first team to do it and not realising that it’s not in the rules. Aston Villa will get a fine to start showing that they clamping down on it. Anyone else after could face more serious consequences. If you had bought a club for £300m, put in another £200m, with the aim of building a £300m training complex, and a stadium costing anything from £2bn-£4bn all to get them to be one of the best teams in the world, would you risk it all for a small (the grand scheme of things) PSR boost where falling foul of the rules could lead to you missing out on Europe and missing out on your chance to break into the ‘elite’ clubs?
  23. Yes I agree but any sale will be judged by Fair market value and future value when our team is in the champo won't wash.
  24. It is, was in the local press the other week.
  25. It's not about the worth now. It's about where it can be in the future potentially.. So we wouldn't sell for what the womens team is worth now.
  26. Brentford are basically Brighton, they’ll find some players and be alreet. Even if they struggle the bottom three likely not fit for purpose.
