I don't know why would even debate that, has to be.
-
That’s probably true. Although I think he was always in the ‘got a mistake in him’ category, but Man Utd have turned that into ‘got a mistake in him every 2/3 games’.

General NUFC stuff: club crest to be changed (Official)

This is very good, second only to the "Tits oot" one. -
I don’t really believe in anything unless it’s proper factual or from Ornstein for example. Gotta have something pointless to say about rumours anyway I guess
-
It won’t be true anyway tbf.

To be honest, if Leverkusen are looking to get rid of him there must a problem. They're already seemingly losing Alonso, Wirtz & Frimpong. I think I've seen that Schick is looking for a move too. The team seems to be getting gutted this summer.
-
Injury prone. Off the field stuff going on. Leverkusen happy to get rid of him. Personally not seen him play a ton of games but their fans say he ‘can’ be fantastic but wasteful. They don’t think he’s made for top tier football (body)

As it was from 2 years ago Andre Onana's stock must have been pretty high that time.

If wanting to keep location similar sounds there is a talk of… Option A: 65k Option B: 72k Got to be B surely?
-
How uncommon is it for a team not to win the cup they won the prior season?
-
Mendy was very good for a time tbf. Not very familiar with many of the others outside Grobbelaar.
-
How come? I thought he was meant to be decent?
-
From a BBC podcast 2 years ago discussing this very topic. Only heard of the ones in bold. Apparently 10 best African 'keepers of all time. Joseph-Antoine Bell Yassine Bounou Essam El Hadar Vincent Enyeama Alain Gouamene Bruce Grobbelaar Carlos Kameni Edouard Mendy Thomas Nkono

I’d not want us to sign Boniface.

Would people be happy with the same transfer window as 23/24, 2 first team players in Tonali and Barnes, 2 top youngsters in Hall and Livramento (I know Hall was a loan)? Looking back on that window, I'd be delighted with the same again.

If I was a fan of any other club I would be desperate for them to win the final over Sheffield Utd mind. Narrative wise they are far more interesting addition to the PL. Alas I have to stan the Blades.
-
Domestic cup competitions will rightly be lower priority than CL or PL fixtures. Winning a cup was vital this season, now it's done we are not so desperate any more, and we can use these competitions to rotate and get some vital game time for squad players. This alone makes them very important in their own right, especially if we have upgraded our squad.

At least the crayon will wash off.

Actually, my apologies to you! I didn't see Frankfurt were 3rd That is going to be an interesting end to the season. If Dortmund win I think I'm right in thinking they need: a) those 2 to draw b) any Frankfurt win as Freiburg's GD is crap c) a thumping Freiburg victory. If Dortmund draw they need a Frankfurt win.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
Benwell Lad replied to Rich's topic in Football
Although the FA cup is more prestigious than the Carabao I really think that the top teams now put out stronger teams in the Carabao latter stages. The timing of the semis and final suits their agenda better than the FA cup when they could well be involved in the latter stages of European competition and the concluding part of the PL season as well. Certainly Brentford, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and ourselves put everything into the Carabao games. -
