I think we are a good team without doubt, I just don't view us as title contenders and I doubt we can become that this window no matter what we do. I think if you have a look at the squads of actual title contenders it becomes clear as to why. I do believe we have a manager who is capable of winning the title however.

Very rare you see the Chronicle with "sources have told us" in their articles. They've been "according to reports" for years.

Fully fit we can be brilliant. Shown this time and again. Beat full strength first and second to win the cup. 2 maybe 3 into the first team is fine. It’s the depth we lack. Particularly in the front 6. If we get the players we want/need - the first team is mostly of a great age.

I don't think we are so close to a title challenge personally. The ageing issue is particularly acute for us given most of our defence will be collecting pensions soon.

Don't think it'll happen, but I'd love to start the season with any new signings we get, just have a feeling he'll play safe and the likes of Pope, Burn & Murphy will start at Villa. Would just prefer to see us attack the season with the perceived best team (new keeper, Botman, new RW).

With the three bids already in what do we think will happen on the Center back position? How much money will we have for that? Will it then involve trading a player to create extra funds? Do we think Howe will be satisfied with 4 incomings this summer?

Burnley have to sell so will ultimately accept an offer close to what we are offering. I also expect Pedro to be accepted for close to 55-60 that’ll include add-ons etc. Elanga is the one that will drag on.

My only concern with the Elanga transfer and possibly the Pedro and Trafford deals is for them to turn into a Guehi situation where we’re only offering X and the selling club won’t budge. I hope we have some alternative options or are pretty sure we know what it’ll take to get these players if that’s who we want.
