    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Something has to give sooner or later. Eddie's message at the end of the season appears to have fallen on deaf ears (in the public/fans domain) as we don't hear anything else out of the club. All we see is reported top targets going elsewhere. When PIF took over they stated they wanted to be 1st, not just top 4 every year but 1st. They're not operating to that tune off the field, by a long stretch.
  3. Kudus will go for nearer £60m I reckon. Which his form the season before last would justify

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

So would I considering West Ham have already slapped a £70m price tag on him. Just smacks of another month long chase trying to barter them down to £45m only for him to fuck off somewhere else for £50m.
  5. Torres gave up Liverpool for Chelsea too. I remember John Bishop saying it was like your missus leaving you for a fella with loads more money

    2025 Gold Cup

Can someone move this thread to the soccer sub forum so it doesn’t disturb my eyeline
  7. The wrong sort of player for us is the right sort of player for Chelsea, would be my summary of the situation If we go in for them and they choose to join that bloated squad because they’ll get paid more money or can live in London, then they’re not the type of player we should be bringing in. We’ve built our success on squad harmony, not mercenaries
  8. There's plenty more fish in the sea, but we have to start fishing in the sea instead of stubbornly pitching our line in the PL pond.
  9. He's a good player, not clinical but think Howe would have worked wonders with him I do think the fee is a touch on the high side but I'm not massively gutted because this has happened so early in the window We have have plenty of time so no excuses not to see who the alternative is and push to get them in
  10. So that's Neto, Tosin, Delap (among other clubs obv), Pedro we've been in for in the last few years and they've all gone to Chelsea. And they hijacked Liverpool's move for Caicedo and Arsenal's move for Mudryk. Can definitely feel the generational divide when players are choosing fucking Chelsea over those clubs.
  11. Can only hope it comes crashing back to earth. Doesn’t really help they’ve made 50+ million in a couple weeks at this farce of a tournament.
  12. This is very much Chelsea buying a player just so someone else doesnt get them. They arent going to make a profit by flipping him in a year or so, and hes unlikely to be in their starting 11 given how many better players they already have for his role.
  13. Is it feasible that Chelsea’s squad becomes so big and expensive that it leaves the atmosphere ?
  14. Doesn't take much for Chelsea players to get England caps mind. Chalobah has one.
  15. I should probably bore off out of this thread and take it to the PIF one tbh . Re: being number 1, PIF always makes really bold claims about its projects, but they rarely live up to the grand expectations they set. I could go on about The Line, Neom, Al-Ula, the Haramain railway, the new airport, even a bloody aquarium; all marketed as “the best in the world,” but while some are impressive, none have really reached that level (some not even close). Also using investment processes to run a football club isn’t that bizarre though? Modern clubs are big businesses and need strategic management. Granted, football clubs are different to a lot of other investments but with the right leadership I don’t see why it’s that ridiculous. Maybe I’m not understanding what your concerns are in that regard.
  16. The buyback on Quansah is hefty-mind. Think they've put it in as an anti-Palmer measure, but not in the Real Madrid way. RM typically sell at a fair price, then has a good buyback or % clause on further transfers. Liverpool has secured a good price, so their buyback is substantial. Guehi is the Konate replacement, it's just a case of bringing it forward if it suits. They like a youngster for the Quansah role - I don't think that fits the win now narrative previously discussed. It's just a continuation of what they wanted with Quansah - it's just that he wanted out.
  17. Meh. I'm a bit disappointed with this one, thought he'd bring us something a bit different. But not too disappointed, if he chose Chelsea then fine, and I suppose we're at least looking at exciting players who might give us different options. And well done to Chelsea for hoarding every player they can buy and to the players who choose them for wanting to be treated like transfer cattle.
  18. Sky sports (Keith Downie) you will be quoting bald cunt Edwards next
  19. You'd imagine his numbers look awful given he played for Soton.
  20. THB is a bit of weird one, captain of the u21s but seemingly little hype even with his England call up. £19m is peanuts for a young England international, is he just not very good?
  21. Ain’t that fussed. Good player. Unlikely to be transformational. A lot of money. Would’ve been happy with him but there’s plenty more fish in the sea. On to the next one.
