I have zero confidence in Sheff United beating them , as limited as the mackems are they are clearly well organised and will just sit in and make it as tough as possible for them to score . The mackems have already beaten them this season as well.
  3. If that's how you took it, then fair enough. I thought I explained it for the layman, but evidently not. Hojlund is 3 years younger than Isak. How many goals did Isak score 3 years ago? 10. How many goals has Hojlund got this season when people believe he's been atrocious? 10. It was simply a discussion on potential, and how Hojlund had time on his side.

We may drop points to them, they will dine off it. We will win cups and finish top 5, not sure I'll lose too much sleep
  5. Agree. Thought it was suicidal tactics. Take the game by the scruff of the neck, get the crowd up and they'd potentially have had it sewn up by halftime. Allowed Cov to get a foothold and in turn to dominate the 2nd half. Didn't watch extra time so can't comment on that tbf.
  6. Genuinely feel nothing to them going up or staying down. We’re on another planet to them and will be for the forseeable. Sure, the may beat us in a one off game, but it will mean next to nowt in the grand scheme of things.

  8. Wages will be massive, Liverpool must be letting him go for a reason.
  9. If only. Wouldn't be against a short-term signing like that who'd help us transition the way we play out from the back for a year or two before someone younger came in and continued it. Happy with Trafford though.
  10. Could we sign Alisson? They are getting Mamardashvili this summer and Alisson is rumoured to leave? Is that realistic? Is he still world class? Seems to be injured alot.
  11. Have we been linked to Weston McKennie? Ticks a lot of boxes; decent age, versatile, experienced at a high level, entering last year of his contract. If Juve miss out on the Champions League, could they be tempted to cash in? Would he back himself to challenge our current 3?

If they go up, we twat them. If they get battered by sheffield we laugh Win win really

  14. Froggy was comparing Hojlund to Isak a few months ago. Sad state of affairs.
  15. Rodrygo is balance with output. Real Madrid selling him is a dumb move, because to get someone that selfishly works hard to offer balance whilst contributing his output will be hard to replace. Side will become unbalanced in attack like we’ve seen PSG over the years.
  16. One off game, sides alway have a chance. But Sheff Utd have far too much quality if Sunderland play the same again we’ve seen across two legs. Sheff Utd will take their chances, then off the bench, got far more quality than Sunderland / Coventry. The prem money will be on show and it won’t be a shock.

All this guaranteed 6 points is nonsense like and exactly why I don't want them up. It's not guaranteed at all and anything could happen - Luton beat us last season, Ipswich beat chelsea this season, Southampton drew with City etc there's a chance, and us not beating them would be horrible.
  18. If City goes through these deals it could mean many of their talented youngsters will be on the table. Since the depth & lack of 2nd team is our main concern, we can poach likes of O'Rilley u know in competitive prices.
  19. If we were still under the ownership of Mike Ashley and/or being managed by Steve Bruce I'd actually be gutted at the prospect of them getting promoted Whereas knowing the level we are operating at results like this for me are met with a shrug of the shoulders I look at whatever outcome in the final as a win win. They lose at "Wembo" and it will be funny, they get promoted and it will be funny watching them lose most weeks I can never want them to get promoted but there is a part of me that wants them to face the weekly realisation that their suggestion "we'd give PSG a game" or "the standard of the PL outside 2nd* is shite" is a load of bollocks *this number changes based on our league position
  20. I agree with this, a draw against West Ham is only useful if Chelsea and Villa fail to win at home on Friday and those games are as close to being a done deal as you can get
  21. Arsenal, City, Chelsea and Villa are all VERY LIKELY to get at least 69 points, so we would need one more win to guarantee top 5. If Villa drop points this Friday, then obviously we would need one point only.

Thought it was madness how Sunderland gave full control of the match to Coventry at home. Coventry are a big team and they had 45 crosses (!), were bound to score eventually. It's pretty rare that we have a performance like that.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

He's 6 months younger than Pope and has a Transfermarkt value of 100k. Swapping Pope for him would be absolute madness.
  24. He's free in the summer. I would absolutely get him in, no brainer seeing as he can cover boths sides and has a good amount of experience in Premier League. Schick is a decent shout but I get the feeling he'd cost more than £20M given the season he's having and I think there's better options around who are younger. Wouldn't be disappointed at all to see him here though. Don't want anything to do with Jobe, let him go to Spurs and struggle to adapt to the Premier League there, he's some way off being ready for it.
  25. You'd need more sales for that kind of budget
  26. Obviously I want Sheff Utd to win. But you're naive to think Mackems don't have a chance. If they win, they deserve it and I will greatly enjoy taking 6 points off them next season.
