He was absolutely horrid for Leeds mind
-
Disagree, they’ve won a trip to Wembley and a chance of promotion with the last kick of the game.
-
No bites = no fun.
-
Also, @healthyaddiction Isak played 8 games in Europe that season, scoring 0. Hojlund played 6 games in the Champions League and scored 5. So...
-
Didn't expect a bite from you. I expected better Frogster
-
Is Mateus Fernandes good enough to contribute now? Or would it be similar to Miley / our current CM depth where we don't really trust the bench / drop off is significant
-
He joined 24 other players who scored 17+ goals at 21 or under in La Liga. Last season Hojlund joined 25 other players who scored 10+ at 21 or under in the Premier League, and that was his first season in the league and he missed 8 games due to injury.

The emotional outbursts at the end there was understandable, but way over the top for winning the semi final. They have some time to reset before the final, but I think they lose that. Even if they get promoted, they will have a season in the prem on par with Southampton this year.

He doesn’t work that hard and he’s not a RW.

There's a bit of my "ordinary" class solidarity with anyone and anything from the true North. Anything above Manchester that has been overlooked and disregarded. As such, and I did post about it once 😂, I'd have been ok with Leeds, Boro and these lot coming up. Obviously my inherent hatred of Sunderland means that I have to find a way to navigate past those conflicting emotions. If they come up, so be it. You know they'll build themselves up to be world beaters then, as the season unfolds, reality will bite them in the arse. So what if we drop points to them? We've spunked points to worse teams, tbf 😉 Our, ultimate, trajectory won't be impacted by them but will cast a giant shadow over their entire existence. Let them have their Wembo day out. Looking back at the Carabao Cup when Isak's goal was disallowed then he scored again moments later? That was such a sucker punch for Liverpool. One minute they've dodged a bullet and are boosted by the cancelled goal. Very next minute they're in the mud. Them getting beat in the "final" will be even more crushing. It's all very entertaining 😂😂

Aside from the derbies, there’s lots of fun about them being in the premier league- every week being laughed at on match of the day and podcasts.
-
The season before that though he had one of the highest scoring seasons for an under 21 in la Liga history. So...
-
His last season in La Liga. 2021-2022. Isak was 21/22 years old. 41 apps, 10 goals. Please don't take this as me thinking Hojlund is or will be anywhere near as good as Isak. I don't believe it for a second, but he has time on his side to become far, far better. That time is dwindling though.
-
A derby game now for us is a no win situation really . We are so much better than them that even if we win it's basically just job done but if we did only draw or got beat we would never hear the end of it.
-
Isak missed most of that season though.
-
I have zero confidence in Sheff United beating them , as limited as the mackems are they are clearly well organised and will just sit in and make it as tough as possible for them to score . The mackems have already beaten them this season as well.
-
If that's how you took it, then fair enough. I thought I explained it for the layman, but evidently not. Hojlund is 3 years younger than Isak. How many goals did Isak score 3 years ago? 10. How many goals has Hojlund got this season when people believe he's been atrocious? 10. It was simply a discussion on potential, and how Hojlund had time on his side.
-
We may drop points to them, they will dine off it. We will win cups and finish top 5, not sure I'll lose too much sleep
-
Agree. Thought it was suicidal tactics. Take the game by the scruff of the neck, get the crowd up and they'd potentially have had it sewn up by halftime. Allowed Cov to get a foothold and in turn to dominate the 2nd half. Didn't watch extra time so can't comment on that tbf.
-
Genuinely feel nothing to them going up or staying down. We’re on another planet to them and will be for the forseeable. Sure, the may beat us in a one off game, but it will mean next to nowt in the grand scheme of things.

Wages will be massive, Liverpool must be letting him go for a reason.

If only. Wouldn't be against a short-term signing like that who'd help us transition the way we play out from the back for a year or two before someone younger came in and continued it. Happy with Trafford though.
