Almost every club in world football is going to have to sell players to bigger clubs, for the same reason we might has to sell Isak at some point: bigger, more prestigious and richer clubs can offer more money and better chance of success.
-
Brighton I agree about. Bournemouth appear to have genuinely tried signing the best players they can attract, but are being pillaged. Brighton would have signed some hipster 19 year old to replace a striker such as Solanke last summer for example, Bournemouth went and spent £40m on a Brazilian international striker hitting his prime from Porto.

It's a pathetic existence, let's be honest. These clubs are continuously branded as some sort of plucky geniuses when in fact they're just complicit cucks who are happy to remain on board the gravy train with little to no ambition beyond that. Fuck off back to the football league where you belong.

We haven’t got a fuck load of money?

I am predicting we will get this done by overpaying sth like 55m -

The thing is if we’re genuinely interested in him then a) you get a signal from the player that he’s interested and b) if the club is a willing seller and a ball park price then you negotiate. They must have an idea what they’d have to go to to get him? Obviously Parish wouldn’t budge on Guehi last summer but I hope we either offer close to what they actually want or just say “no, sorry that’s too much” and move on”. Im making it out to be far more simplistic but just making a point. If we go after premier league players, if that’s what Howe wants we’re going to have to pay the transfer fees and wages. But it does leave us open to these drawn out situations. -
It’s literally just being a selling club with a different name. It’s no different to Southampton when they sold all their best players to Liverpool, or us under Ashley where we sold anything that wasn’t nailed down, And took a crowbar to the stuff that was.

I think we’ve got a decent chance of getting him but Forest aren’t exactly going to just hand him over are they. As someone above has said it’ll probably be 50m+. I’d probably prefer Kudus for that type of money. - Today

I understand the sentiment but to who? Seems like the options are really limited.
-
Hope we move on
-
Sounds reasonable, I could see that happening. I think he's a decent player and has something to add, my bug bear with this is more to the fact we could have just bought him when forest did instead of being mugged off a couple of seasons later.
-
Plus add ons, aye.
-
Gets done at 50?
-
That's what Ratcliffe would've done.
-
We will go to 50 imo. Personally think this gets done eventually. (Thought the same with Guehi last summer mind )
-
Prediction time, do we reckon we go higher or will we move on?
-
No they didn't
-
Delap looks good. Fair play to Auckland
-
He was on about 80k at Leverkusen, and now he's making almost triple that. A 200k wage is huge at Liverpool. Only Salah and VVD get paid more than him. I think his agent did very well there.
-
Like any strategy you will have winners and losers and the dopper is obviously a loser, due to the PSR gaming they've done they are absolutely fine though. I don't cry about them gaming the system because everyone has the option to do it and the members refuse to close said loopholes which allow Chelsea the space. Don't hate the player and all that. And to add on (fuck you for making me defend such a pointless club btw ) they do sell players better than most and they generate much more than us given they have won both the league and champions league quite recently

2023: Minteh, Tonali, Barnes, Livramento, Hall -
Or if they've been bought for £100m and have been caught doping and face a lengthy ban while on an 8 year contract. Something like that should be devastating for a club that hasn't even got a front of shirt sponsor, right? Right?
-
Wirtz need a better agent if he's just become the British transfer record and is only on half of what Salah makes.

Saw the news on X...figured I'd log on and there'd be less bed wetting... Trust in the man who brought us back from the brink and disrupted the elite on the pitch.
