He played 4-2-3-1 all the time at Bournmouth with Wilson and King up front
-
Pedro and Elanga. Two players we end up overpaying and with PSR problems in a year or 2.
-
Yeah, sounds like guehi is after a huge pay day if he's running down his contract.
-
Wonder if it was made clear to us Cunha was never coming, or if we had interest. The difference between Cunha at 60 and Pedro at 50ish is huge. Obviously Cunha has the possibilty of making 350k eventually at Manure I spose. To consistently compete at the top end we're going to have to have the best scouting and be able to bring in the Pedros, Caceidos Elanga's before they cost 50-70 mil. 60-70 at this stage has to make the team immediately much, much stronger. Think it was a massive failure last summer to focus on Guehi when everyone knew about Milenkovic, he was about as risk free as you could get, and a tough lad, seems great for a dressing room. I'd be interested to see how many CB's nearly, as good or better than Guehi were available/transferred (other than to ESL/PRS problem free clubs for much less last summer.

Do you think we'd have to bring another left winger in if we sold Gordon? Or just rely on Barnes with Pedro, Joelinton being able to play there? Not sure I'd be keen on that
-
Already losing faith in tuchel if he's still picking Henderson mind. Even Southgate fobbed him off eventually.
-
Fucking hell, already seen a mackem shirt in my hotel heading to the game, might just stay here on the drink

One thing that is massive if we sign him is having someone centrally in the last third that is a massive threat, and not alone, playing with Isak further ahead. With JP getting the ball high up the pitch it will force the opposition defence to be dragged out of shape which itself will give Isak much more space in the more central areas. JP often takes a man out with a first touch and turn which will give us and Isak so much more space and also not being forced to come too deep. We all know how good Bruno’s and Tonali’s quick and progressive passes can be, and having Pedro there much closer to them will make it much easier for them to do this more often. As it is now when we only have Isak centrally he either can get very isolated or has to come quite deep for the build up. This often results in that he can’t really be a a threat centrally as often as we’d like. With Isak coming deep it also indirectly makes us become more predictable as that results in us having to go wide most of the time because we don’t have a player up there when Isak comes deep. Quite often the space between our CM and Isak is a bit too vast. Unless he comes deep as mentioned. Also having two players in central areas further upp could also force the opponent defence to compress which at times will give our wide players more space. Makes it more difficult for the opposition either way.

Henderson starting ffs I know it's only Andorra so the game itself doesn't matter and whoever he picks we'll win, but these are the games to try new things and new blood, or go with the side you want to move forward with ao they get used to their roles. Henderson playing says he figures into Tuchels first team plans, it's unbelievable

Linked with Napoli this morning.

What’s Tomori up to these days?
-
If Guehi is running down his contract it’s because he’s on his way to Spain. Was mooted as a possible signing for Real: https://sports.yahoo.com/article/promising-premier-league-defender-ready-074000671.html Fits the Alexander-Arnold blueprint.
-
I was joking with someone this week that AC Milan with no Europe are going to get picked apart with all their decent players getting a move but we'll end up with one of their dodgy centre backs
-
Linked with Leverkusen and the bald pervert Ten Hag.
-
A name linked in past, European, so our fans latch onto them. Chalobah still better IMO.
-
Longstaff as 6th choice midfielder and UEFA quota jobby only.
-
What’s the fascination with Thiaw? Keep seeing him mentioned but he’s no where near the level we should be aiming at.
-
Never useless playing at a good tournament and winning. Winning with England doesn’t happen often.
-
I’d be delighted with Ter Stegen. GKs can be unique where it can be a position you don’t really play yourself into. You either are good or not. 3 years of Ter Stegen is perfectly fine, step up and club will be in a greater position to sign another top goalkeeper by then (ideally need another GK next summer even when we sign one this summer in truth).

No one likes selling a star player, but in a scenario like this I would be on board. Just look at what Villa achieved after selling Grealish, or Liverpool after Coutinho.
-
Where's the youtube compilation at like.
-
I think he’d be a really solid signing for what he’d cost how the hell would he be able to cover the other key positions?
-
Completely agree with you. Very logical signing all things considered. Brighton know how to make a profit though, he’ll take up 1/4-1/3 of the budget I think.
