  1. Past hour
  2. Just put big Joe on the bench, like an attack dog ready to pounce with a click of Eddies fingers, even if he’s never going to come on.
  3. I'm with you on Burn and Isak. Isak is the top scoring Striker this season and Burn is our player of the season and we have won our first domestic cup in 70 years and he has been our most consistent performer throughout the whole season. Tonali has been great but had a sticky patch earlier in the season whilst Howe found the right combination. 3 of each club would have seen Hall at LB for me too.
  4. GK: Raya RB: Aina CB: VVD CB: Burn LB: Kerkez RW: Salah CM: Fernandes CM: Rice CM: MGW LW: Rogers ST: Isak Isak and Burn had to be my NUFC two, and even though Rogers is primarily CAM, he’s played enough at LW and still produced same output to get LW spot for me. Edit: Just remembered Kerkez, so put him in. Now no Man City players.
  5. Sels Munoz Van Dijk Saliba Robinson Tonali Tielemans Salah Cunha Semenyo Isak Something like that, would have had Mbuemo ahead of Semenyo but wanted to stick to where players play most often and not do a Garth Crooks
  6. GK: Verbruggen RB: Aina CB: Saliba CB: Van Dijk LB: Kerkez MID: Tonali MID: Gibbs-White MID: Rice FWD: Salah FWD: Mbeumo FWD: Isak
  7. Sels Aina Kerkez Saliba Van Dijk Rice Tonali Salah Cunha Semenyo Isak
  8. Sibierski

    Anthony Gordon

Anyone got a replay of the challenge on him before the goal? Convinced it was a pen / foul because Caicedo was wrong side. Think that’s the part of his game I enjoy, the hard running behind. Always from word go at home and opposition hate it, why his record is so impressive at home against the top sides. Needs to improve his overall end prospect (said it end of last season), where it’s the goals and shots. Gets into positions so often that if he had quality to whip a shot in, he could score so many.
  9. I'm struggling to name a full team but my initial thoughts are as follows: GK: Sels* CB: Saliba CB: Burn CM: Palmer* CM: Rice* CM: Gibbs-White* RW: Salah ST: Isak EDIT: *Added upon reviewing others
  10. I was ready for his career to be over after that and the feeling of “we can never have nice things”. Neto a dirty cunt and I hope one day those challengers are deemed a red card.
  11. Sels Caicedo Saliba Van Dyk Cucurella Salah Tonali Semenyo Mbeumo Palmer Isak (tough on MacAllister, Murphy and Burn—plus many others I have no doubt forgotten about)
  12. Merino banned, Trossard went off injured, Rice potentially still injured, Gabriel out for the season. Havertz might be back for this game but I’m not sure that’s to their advantage as our two CBs have a personal grudge against him specifically. We can win, it will have to be our best performance in recent months to do it but we definitely can get at them. We seem to have an effect on Arsenal even if we aren’t that uber shithouse side of a few years ago they still seem to believe we are and get themselves in a weird headspace. We've got momentum despite our performances not being 100%, it feels like their season is spluttering to the finish line.
  13. Name your PL team of the season for this year. (I know there are 2 games left but interested to see how any teams develop across the last two games and also who is in them to date.) Maximum of 2 players per club. GK: RB: CB: CB: LB: RW: CM: CM: CM: LW: ST: Basing it on various formations with either 433 or 451 or variations of those formations...
  14. They have a lot of players out, there is absolutely no reason we can't batter them. Need Isak to turn up, been off the boil lately.
  15. Today
  16. No one expected us to beat Arsenal over two legs in the semis.
  17. So this season we have; Pl: 13 W: 7 D: 2 L: 4 Pts: 23 GF: 22 GA: 19 GD: +3 This is just in the league but then factoring in the cups as well (using points for cup wins): Pl: 17 W: 11 D: 2 L: 4 Pts: 35 GF: 29 GA: 20 GD: +9 Which is actually, really, really good (I'd think) - by comparison, in the league Liverpool have 29, Arsenal - 24 and Man City - a surprisingly, lowly, 18. Given that one of the losses was Liverpool where we deliberately played an alternative way to throw them off the scent for the final. For me that leaves a poor showing down at Villa but which was offset 4-4 and 0pts over two games, Chelsea who also offset to 0pts over two games but we have a GD of +1 against (+3 and +3pts if you factor in the cup win), then Man City who are seemingly the only side for Howe to really crack this year with -3points and -4GD. When factoring in Forest as well as the next placed club that is +6points and +3GD and an away cup win on penalties. So we'd have won 13 from 20 (65%) and drawn 2 (10%) meaning unbeaten in 75%. [Yeah - I'm bored and the wife is watching some shite on tv ] Outside of these teams Fulham are the team who've probably had our number most with 2 defeats. Then Brighton with a loss and a draw to them, but compounded by a cup defeat. Then Bournemouth with a loss and a draw versus them. Other than those 4 team we've held our own against everyone. The form shown against the top 7 sides though (especially once the cup run is factored in) to me suggests the league (as cliché as it is) doesn't lie overall. The teams who've done well against the 'Sky 7' are largely where they should rank within the overall league table except Man United have only 8 points and Tottenham 12 and Tottenham are lower in the table. [I'm now bored of editing this post and looking into it ]
  18. How delightful would an Isak hat trick be and firing us 2nd simultaneously after all this Isak to Arsenal nonsense...
  19. Huge point for them at Liverpool. Without it, defeat to us and a draw (matching the Man CIty result) at Southampton would leave them on 68. The point yesterday means they can lose to us and a draw at Southampton will get them to 69, which will be enough with their GD. Not that I foresee two wins for both of Chelsea and Villa. Our 3-4-3/5-4-1 looked very good first half yesterday and if chosen, I would expect it frustrate to Arsenal again like the last time in the Carabao semi second leg. Isak not firing as he was earlier in the season is my main concern. Overall, our form is way better than theirs.
  20. Menace

    Dan Burn

Surely can play for another few seasons considering it's never been pace he relies on?
  21. Heron

    Dan Burn

200% player of the season. Not even in question whichnis radge given some players are comfortable 7s throughout. Only player to perform as consistently well was Hall and he hasn't been fit for weeks now. Burn has played at about an 8+ for all but like one game (I think).
  22. They'll be so terrified of the ramifications and scruity of losing, that they'll bottle it spectacularly. Everyone is already laughing at them for 10 different reasons. They're shiteing themselves.
  23. Lots of people want us to sign Mbeumo and I am one of them. But given how well Murphy has done consistently and also the financial constraints, I won’t be surprised if the club goes for a younger and cheaper option like Matheus Fernandes from Southampton who plays CM but can also cover RW.
  24. Disco

    Emil Krafth

Nick Pope confirming he’s called Cheese at the club. Massive.
  25. 80

    Dogawful Officiating

No idea how we ended up with twice as many yellows as Chelsea.
