  1. Past hour
  2. Now explain why Man Utd’s debt to cover their owners buying them has increased since their takeover, not decreased.
  3. My Duolingo paying off. Wolves want Gerard Martin!
  4. He's stealing a spot from literally any other CM.
  5. El Wolverhampton has tickled me
  6. that's a huge cash lose to Chelsea will take, that won't impact them at all...
  7. Well they can afford to pay the cost for that debt can’t they?
  8. TRon

    Anthony Elanga

I"m assuming most on here watched the CL final. That was a masterclass in passing football but done to a purpose. PSG were great at retaining the ball at the back and evading the press, then launching devastating counter attacks. They also had players with enough craft and ability to hold the ball when trying to break down a packed defence. That's what we should be aiming for, not tiki taki football for the sake of it.
  9. I was telling you boys.
  10. Im not sure Kubo deserves the hype anymore.
  11. Thought the same. Would take him as our #1.
  12. He's 30. Fuck me I'm walking dust.
  13. Kepa for £5m is great value
  14. If PSR was supposed to prevent clubs from going to the wall, then teams like Man Utd and Spurs wouldn’t be allowed such large amounts of debt.
  15. Bunk Moreland

    João Pedro

Mark Douglas: "The sales pitch to Pedro and other forward targets has been that Eddie Howe is considering evolving his system in certain games to play two up front – which means that any incoming attacking signings would not be forced to play second fiddle to Alexander Isak." https://inews.co.uk/sport/football/newcastle-system-60m-transfer-wingers-list-3736896
  16. Those that want more technical players aren't saying it so we can build a side to just pass the ball about but in different phases of the game being able to hold on the ball is useful, especially under pressure When we are under the cosh (like we were when Chelsea were all over despite having a man less) the ball doesn't stick with our wide players, quickly gets turned over and we are on the back foot Similarly I want a keeper that's comfortable with the ball at his feet, not so he can play daft little passes like Ramsdale at Southampton but to be an option when our CB's have the ball and are being pressed, control the ball and launch it long if needs be instead of Pope slicing it out for a goal kick
  17. I don’t think JP is a long eaten replacement for Isak. JP is not a striker imo, he likes the ball to feet.
  18. Its a shame that situation. Felt like after the previous season he was a 100m player. Grealish Rice, you couldn't say he wasn't as influential and dicisive, same age, English...but after this season, thats taken a hit. Hope he pulls it together if Wirtz joins Liverpool, hasn't looked settled or happy this year at all to me
  19. If we have JP and Elanga and keep our attacking options we have a chance of requalifying for the CL. We need genuine depth. That does require good players sitting on the bench on occasion. We’ll went to play 55 games or so.
