  1. Past hour
  2. Just back from the Blue Star match. Blyth probably the better side in the first half, but no massive chances for either. Ex Newcastle United legend Michael Ndiweni put Blue Star ahead after 51 mins with a good strike and it looked like they would see it out. He then missed a great chance with a header at the end to seal it, and about a minute later Blyth broke, won and scored a pen and after 6 mins of injury time, it went to pens. Both scored their first 2, but Blue Star missed their next two (Ndiweni saved, and then the next blazed over) so Blyth advance. Disappointing as Blue Star are probably better placed to make a fist of things at the higher level, but there will be the Blyth derbies next year, as Jack says, which is crazy when you consider one is one of the most famous non league sides in the country and the other were in the 3rd tier of the Northern Alliance league in 2018, so in 7 years they have gone from the 13th tier to the 8th tier, while Spartans have had back to back relegations. I know Blue Star is a bit of an iconic name, and were the strips Newcastle United used in the early days of the Premier League, but there does seem heavy marketing toward the West End - it was mentioned so many times in that earlier interview with the chairman, and there was a massive banner before the game on the pitch saying something like 'Welcome to' or 'This is the West End', so it might be a good marketing opportunity for them to change their name to Newcastle West End, if possible, obviously linking to the name before Newcastle United, but further making it clear they are the team of that area.
  3. Well i dont know about that. He has goals/assist vs Liverpool, Arsenal, Villa and Forest this season. Sure his returns are more impressive against lower teams, but that would be the case for almost everyone i guess.
  4. The common denominator with both Bournemouth and Brighton is that they have extremely good tactical managers that have enabled them to over perform. We have a better team but tactically they have both got the better of us recently. That needs to stop on Sunday.
  5. Canny sly how the ref blew for full time as the wolves player was bringing the ball down unchallenged at the edge of the city box.
  6. In regards to finishing top 5 sure. Would love to finish above them though.
  7. Man City are a non-factor for us. We just need to avoid being caught by Forest and Chelsea.
  8. Well said Eddie. We're due a win in this fixture. Lets go lads ⚫️⚪️⚫️⚪️
  9. Might be cheaper to fly over and collect them yourself
  10. Blyth derby next year then...
  11. Considering they have Southampton next I'd say they are basically confirmed top 5 now.
  12. Think that’s Man City basically there. All knew it was the case but still feels a little disappointing tonight.
  13. He's one of many then who were desperate to believe it. A one second check told you that the fiddler was in jail when the profile was created. Totally desperate man creating a profile to try and hide the shame and then try and put it onto us. Mustn't of liked the blow up seagulls floating round the away end in the cup game
  14. Today
  15. Big drop off for Man City going forward, since that O'Reilly went off. Hope Wolves can nick a draw here.
  16. Could wolves at least pretend to give a fuck.

I work with a makem who is actually ok, intelligent, albeit a right wind-up merchant and he fell for this nonsense - "the seagull shagger is a Geordie, it's on his Facebook profile that he supports the mags" #shakes head#
  18. Think Ait-Nouri got away with that
  19. I find Ait-Nouri very annoying. Plays around with the ball too much unnecessarily.
  20. Forgot tonight anyways Everton 2-0 Ipswich Leicester 2-1 Southampton Arsenal 2-1 Bournemouth Brentford 1-1 Man Utd Brighton 1-2 Newcastle West Ham 2-2 Spurs Chelsea 1-3 Liverpool Palace 1-2 Forest
