Shame as he could cover a lot of positions and give us options, but he fails the no-dickheads test so Chelsea should suit him
-
It worked well with Everton and Gordon and now it feels like we’re continually playing brinkmanship with every transfer. Meanwhile Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea etc just come in and steamroll at whatever price it needs to get done at. This window has been a further eye opener that the dice are stacked so far towards the pre-PSR clubs that it’s overtly crooked. Still, we all knew they were doing it and as long as they have the ESL threat and weak cuckold clubs like Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford to act as their feeder clubs and vote to maintain the status quo, we’ll forever be hoping Eddie turns water into wine. Or the back office team and PIF could get their backsides into gear after 3.5 years and actually do something game changing with the infrastructure side…

We don’t know that, just like we don’t know who Pedro prefers to join for whatever his reasons might be. Time will tell. The rest is just dot joining and click bait bollox.
-
The system needs to change But as long as punters keep clicking, the system ain’t changing
-
Sounds like we had our window to get a deal done and blew it. Cant blame Chelsea for that

Really happy for the lad. No doubt a big wrench (and slap in the face) being pulled away from boyhood club, rewarded with being relied upon and putting in a magnificent season, also rewarded with a much improved contract no doubt, then topped off with an international European trophy. What a year! -
It is Sunday papers day too! Need them clicks.

I think it could be a bit more interesting at the bottom this year. Admittedly it's hard to tell at this stage in the transfer window, but with that caveat in mind: Wolves looked dogshit for a long part of last season and have already sold their best player. The board and fans seem to be at war with each other and it's not a happy camp. West Ham have been on a downward curve since winning the European competition and could do with a refresh. Brentford have lost their manager, it is widely expected that they will lose their two best forward players and Arsenal are already sniffing around their best midfielder. They will have to get it right woth the replacements and if they don't they will be in bother. On the other hand Man Utd won't have Europe to contend with this season so will be able to focus on survival. Mainly though, the promoted teams this year will be better than last year. There's no way any of the 3 will be as bad as Leicester were when we played them, not a chance. And Leicester didn't even finish bottom!! I still think these and Burnley will go back down, and hopefully Leeds as well. But it's not the foregone conclusion a lot of people are telling themselves it will be. For the mackems there's a lot resting on the first 5 games imo. They need to hit the ground running so making signings early in the window is a smart move.

Funded by PIF this summer through the CWC too. Next they’ll announce Riyadh Air as FOS sponsor to the tune of 60m a year. Extraordinary turn of events.

Thought he was superb last night. So comfortable on the ball and has bags of energy and drive -
There’s talk that they may have already sold all or part stake of the women’s team to themselves - but we won’t know until a few weeks time I think we should sell Strawberry Place to ourselves for 100m

I have faith in the club to get the players we need but transfers with us have become incredibly frustrating. We miss out on so many players its uncanny.
-
You are absolutely right - why did I think more players got sold?
-
They have Neto, Gittins, Jackson, Delap , Nkunku, Madueke, George, Guiu and also Felix and Sterling still on their books all in attaching positions. What a totally bonkers situation.
-
Can’t really blame us but we’ve been too slow.
-
I was beaten up (ish) twice by ‘grown men’, home and away when a kid in the 80s and pretty much minding my own business. Always had a dislike for the club since.
-
Do Chelsea have fans or just customers? Watching the ECL final it felt like the latter.
-
Smart business by them. If you cant learn from the best, just straight up copy them.
-
While journalists do play a role, I don't believe they're entirely at fault here. Like it's totally fair to call out some of the shit that they put out; a lot of it is half-baked, rushed, or clearly meant to stir up drama. But it's also worth remembering that a lot of these guys are just trying to do their jobs in a system that pretty much forces this kind of content.
-
So these cunts are signing our two top striker targets? Starting to really dislike these.
-
Like Chelsea did with their hotel or women’s team? It’s moving things between different arms of a holding company; not like doing a deal with N arm’s length third party.
-
Well done Tino lad! Great to have had two players involved in winning this in successive competitions. Happy for Elliot A too.
-
He is, but he’s levels this season as it’s gone on compared to last is night and day and it’s not changing. Chelsea got over the line for UCL with that win end of season, but they were on a slide. Like playing Liverpool on the beach and Man Utd paper over how abject they were 2nd half of season. Nothing to fear about them at all IMO.
