Nothing in the rules about our chairman giving Isaks parents a gift of £100 million and Isak signing a £1 a week contract
-
When would be the right time to sell for the club though? When his value is highest? That’s probably now.
-
Problem is where shopping with the big boys and getting blown out the water on wages. We need to be shopping in Europe it’s where our best business in terms of 1st team ready players has been done. Honestly think where wasting our time dealing with PL clubs, all of them will push the price up when we come knocking and happy to string us along.
-
We shouldn't be selling him!
-
Selling him at the right time for the club is paramount. Sell at the apex of his value and we could unlock PSR for a trans-formative amount. It will probably be next summer if he doesn't re-sign. He's never struck me as someone like Bruno who has completely fallen in love with NUFC. He will move on to a "better" club, but we should take full advantage of that move.
-
Coupled with the need to get stuff signed off by PIF means we’re one of the least agile back office teams in the PL.
-
I'd rather have him here and weekly rumours of him fucking off than him actually fucking off mind
-
Much like a lot of the comments on here!
-
ITK = In the KillMeNowClub with those two nuggets of intel at the end. £30m for the privilege of Alan Smith meandering around the pitch for 5 years.
-
You're talking about a tiny number of clubs that might be in the market for him at the price it would take. Wouldn't worry about it for at least another season. Even then, you need a perfect match of a team with £120m+ to spend on one player and no world class striker already playing for them.
-
You do realise in your scenario he could go to a premier club on a free?
-
Rather keep Isak and see him go £0 than ever sell him to a Prem side. He’s fun, and I want us to enjoy him and not another side, otherwise what’s the point in football.
-
As said before, I’m more concerned about us still not getting the CEO / DoF sorted out at this point rather than transfers. Nickson will be leading on that right now with Howe and others for signings, but the structure above is a huge void and has been for a while now.
-
As I've said many times , he won't be going anywhere this summer as no market exists at a price which would make sense for us. Next summer it will depend on if he resigns, if he doesn't we will have to part ways, id still expect between 100-120m though.
-
Yep - £150m is the starting point - holding midfielders unproven in the PL went for over £100m two years ago! I hope he’s here forever anyway!
-
I had ITK info that Keegan was coming back in 2008 Also had ITK info that Alan Smith and Rob Elliott (the keeper not the full back) were signing. However, those are the sort of moments when you wish you weren't an ITK
-
I'm certain he also shared a bunch of things weren't true. It's entirely possible he got one thing from someone and then tried to trade off that. Anyone can get ITK info once. I got something once myself, but I'll not get anything again.
-
If Wirtz is the best part of £120m, discussions for Isak don't start until you hit £150m for me. Acclimatised to the PL, plays a massive role for his country internationally, and has proven his natural goal scoring ability over and over again. All the above come at a price, and a hefty one at that.
-
£80-100m has been somewhat normalized. Once that has happened £150m+ has to become the price for a player many have called the best centre forward in Europe.
-
I tell you one thing I can't wait till he signs a new contract/fucks off so the weekly rumours of him leaving are actually done. It's getting beyond a joke now.
-
Why? We definitely need a new RW, but behind Salah and Mbeumo we had arguably the best performing right winger in the country. Whilst we cant rely on Murphy having another season like that I also don't think we can expect Eddie to drop Murphy as soon as we get a new player in that position. A young player with a very high ceiling who wont expect to start every game but already has the experience and ability to be able to play in the PL sounds pretty perfect to me, particularly if we are looking at Pedro too.
-
+ the money they are spending on Wirtz, which is nuts. Like 130m, isn't it?
-
Odd, given he plays primarily from the right and they have that absolute alien for the next 15 years there.
-
Obviously want him to stay, one of the best strikers in the world. A bigger debate, but i don't think any player in the world is actually worth £150m unless you're talking Messi/Ronaldo levels where its a certain known.

Fernandes, Isak, Palmer, Rice, Mac Allister and Salah for PFA Player of the Year.
