Or now the pressures off they reopen to their start of the season form, that’s what I’m hoping for. Away to Brighton isn’t our best fixture and it pains me to say it but I’ll take a point this weekend.
-
Well that was just throwing a number out there but let's say its £100k/week - that's +£5.2m/year which is still almost entirely covered by the drop in amortisation @Mag3.14 worked out above
-
Defending Shola not loving. Only call Bruno out when he's crap not constantly on his back. Get it right son.
-
Yous all need a chill pill! There is no way in the world we are not finishing top 5! Trust me like you did in the build up to the cup final ha ha!
-
His passing makes such a difference. There was a moment in the last game where he pinged it out to the right. Only a 30ish yard pass along the ground, but Burn is never making that pass directly, it would go via the other centre half and a loss of momentum with it. Sven’s passing quickens the whole team and makes life much more difficult for the opposition.
-
Something tells me he'll want a touch more than 50k extra a week like.
-
Heard somewhere that if they win the remaining games their points tally will be higher than City’s last year? Something like that, if not quite that. Would definitely quieten the narrative about their being weak champions
-
One of my mates won a canny amount during that run - he used to put £20 on Ciisse 1st and 2-0 scorecast - off top of my head, Chelsea, Liverpool and Swansea!

If I wasn’t off to Brighton this morning then my fix would be the over 40s final between Hebburn and Hartlepool at North Shields’ ground at 10.30 followed by the promotion play-off final at Perth Green between Jarra and Thornaby at 3!

The Wigan game was actually the Saturday before
-
I'd be happy with a draw, especially if results go our way elsewhere in the PL.
-
Just for context, but fans of the most successful club of recent times, the only one to win four in a row, yes, Man City, still refer to poor results or unexpected events as "typical City". Their nonstop success has not stopped some fans looking on the negative side and half-expecting things to go wrong. For some football fans of some clubs, this condition seems incurable. For contrast, other fans of other clubs and pundits pandering to them have no problem in assuming they have already signed other clubs' prime assets, such as Alexander Isak.

Their manager is a fucking rookie. He's got a good long while before he proves he's a good tactical manager.

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)
et tu brute replied to Rich's topic in Football
You're right, Villa's champions league chances will be probably dependent on the next two games. Win those two and they will be playing Tottenham and Man U teams with key players rested and thoughts on the Europa final (though it wouldn't probably matter anyway with their form this season). They probably need to win all four games to be even a worry for us, but, unfortunately both Fulham and Bournemouth's form has certainly dipped recently. Both need points though for their own European ambitions. -
You don't need to worry about anything ,let's see what happens

The Europeometer™ (2024/25) - NUFC Qualify for Conference League (at least)

It's up to us at the end of the day. We will know by the end of the Forest game, a much clearer picture on whether we are in a stronger position, no real change or if we are in a poorer position. A win would be massive though, as if we do, there maybe a possible opportunity that we can confirm qualification against Chelsea. None of the four teams this weekend has an easy game. -
Until this weekend. Because if we lose and Villa win, we'll have to worry about them as well.
-
100% this. City are nailed on and frankly I'll graciously let them have that after they done us a solid by putting daylight between us and Villa. Villa have a mountain to climb, it's not out of the question that they'll win all their remaining games but surely we'll be home and dry before they could worry us again. The two teams we need to collapse are the ones most likely to. One which is a very limited team in a false position and the other which is a notorious basket case and on the verge of their annual manager sacking. TL:DR; we'll be reet

Time to push on, 0-2

Yea, I bought a home shirt and bunch of stuff last year and it was reasonable. I tried to buy a cup shirt, a game program, baseball cap and a couple of other things today and BAM, duties were WAY more than the cost of the items. edit: Yea, that same striped mug too.
-
I'm going to do either Dunston or Jarrow, both 3pm kick offs, probably leaning towards Dunston with it being a couple of leagues higher.
-
Aye not sure what you're going for, but I guess it's Adidas shop from here on in for me. NUFC store shipping has always been very reasonably priced / they're definitely losing money, so this is quite astronomical. I just wanted some pants and a nice coffee mug.
