Would be happy if he signs and he’s been effective for Forest but from what I’ve seen he needs space to run into like Gordon. We need some players who can play against low blocks with a killer pass, 1-2s around the box or can dribble (not kick and run but more Ben Arfa type dribbler). I guess the Joao Pedro interest could be to cover that.

Brighton I agree about. Bournemouth appear to have genuinely tried signing the best players they can attract, but are being pillaged. Brighton would have signed some hipster 19 year old to replace a striker such as Solanke last summer for example, Bournemouth went and spent £40m on a Brazilian international striker hitting his prime from Porto.

The thing is if we’re genuinely interested in him then a) you get a signal from the player that he’s interested and b) if the club is a willing seller and a ball park price then you negotiate.
