  1. Past hour
  2. He's not big but is getting bigger in the USA and his recent tour was theatres and small arenas. He was in the 2nd tier of the line up at Coachella He's very big in the UK, not just the North East. He's sold out West Ham's ground next month and that's 80,000 people He's quite big in Europe and sold out 5-10,000 capacity venues on his recent tour He's intertwined with NUFC because he's a geordie lad and newcastle fan. As are most of his band And also his rise in popularity has coincided with our takeover and the new found positivity surrounding the club
  3. Brother saw him last week in Denver 5k venue. Said if it wasn’t sold out it was close as it was chocka. Loads of NUFC shirts as well
  4. He did Coachella, and is doing another round of big US festivals with some massive headliners. Im going to the one in Nashville - headlined by Kings of Leon and John Mayer.
  5. Spurs supporting workmate not too confident this morning, 3 of their best players to come back and a plastic pitch to deal with
  6. Forest losing to brentford is massive I reckon, I could see them getting maybe 7 points from their remaining games (draw to palace away, lose to Chelsea, win the other two) which puts them on 67 but their gd is pretty bad. Especially with forest playing Chelsea it means we now have more potentially paths to 5th (I'll be honest before I had ruled out first missing out completely). I'm staring to think 67 points may be enough, so like a draw to Brighton and Chelsea, then a win against Everton for example. That does still ride on villa not winning every one of their remaining games mind.
  7. He is just coming off a North American tour (not sure of venue sizes), and think he appeared on Jimmy Kimmel show whilst over there in the last week or so. Global Icon is probably a stretch, but think he's is becoming more well know around the world. Think the last album being co-produced by the guy from War on Drugs will help his exposure over there too.
  8. I don’t mind Sam Fender but why?
  9. Tbf I had zero Interest in football before the takeover. Id had all my love, optimism and passion for the game squeezed out of me till there was nothing left. I stopped all interaction with the club after they fucked Rafa over. Loads probably in the same boat. Nowt to be ashamed about. Felt I had no option but to walk away.
  10. No it's not. It's simply meant to be a 2nd tier competition for those clubs that don't finish in their, respective CL places. Annoying as our two lower/mid table clubs reaching the final is there was enough meat on the bone at the start of the EL for there to have been reasonably stiff opposition to Spuds and Manure. If you don't believe in 3rd placed, CL, failures dropping into the EL then this is what you asked for. I'm in that group and if anything was helping the clubs with greater resources the EL drop-in was it.

    Joe Willock

Would have preferred Miley to start
  12. Win these two to make Arsenal a bit of a 6-pointer would be lovely. How serious will Arsenal take the Bournemouth game on Saturday for instance with the PSG second leg and nothing else to play for?
  13. Joelinton7

    Joe Willock

“He’s a like for like replacement for Joelinton”. He’s really not.
  14. Not really into his music but is Sam Fender a big deal, like worldwide? He’s celebrated like he’s a global icon but I can’t say I know too much about him or why he’s so intertwined with the clubs marketing. It’s like we know Amir Khan is from Bolton and Carl Froch is from Nottingham so they supported their hometown clubs. Is Fender more like Froch or Khan in terms of fame / success?
  15. This was bang at the start of the Steve Bruce reign as well.
  16. Miss Sven's reading of the game and his eye for a pass.
  17. Pics from his 2019 debut album
  18. They’re not going to be at the beach, they have a chance to deny Chelsea CL football, that’s a big motivation
  19. ...and was the school bully.
  20. HawK

    Sven Botman

If we can get him comfy on the right of the central defence he might be Schar's successor as I can't see us ever dropping Dan Burn for now. Or 3 centre backs ? What a nice problem to have for a change. Rewind a year and I had Burn on the bench but he's so important to us.
  21. Actually, just reading what it says on the club shop, this shirt is for the launch of the album (only a few weeks late, like). "A limited edition Newcastle United adidas 24/25 home shirt to celebrate the launch of Sam Fender's new album." Maybe we've yet to see the launch of the 'Concert' shirt, to celebrate his 3 night gigs at St James'??!!
  22. He's South Hylton born and bred marra
