  2. Players and agents don’t need convincing to go there.
  3. He might be absolutely shite (you’ll have watched far more of him than me..) but there’s obviously a reason he gets picked every week. I mean I watched Alcaraz when he came on for him on Sunday, and he was… absolutely shite… although tbf others on here have said that’s not representative of him, but Moyes obviously much prefers Doucoure to him.
  4. Given he is absolutely shit, I don't think it'll make much of a difference.
  5. Moyes said in his presser today Doucoure has “already accepted a higher offer to go somewhere else” (might be paraphrasing a bit). Appreciate he’s played virtually every game, and probably agreed to go wherever he’s going a while ago, but given the circumstances around this game, would he really want to play in it?
  6. Genuinely think Mainoo could be a Howe-type player. Excellent physical attributes, positional versatility (to a degree). Wouldn’t be in ahead of the starting three (obviously) at the moment, but if, as seems likely to me, Longstaff leaves, he significantly improves depth. The article in the Sun (aye, I know, I know…) today claims they’re “certain” to sell him and Garnacho. Says £55m for Mainoo, which is probably a bit too steep IMO, but get it closer to £40m and I like it. Relatively low wages too, so could probably offer him a substantial increase without too much bother. Imagine taking a 20-year old England international off Man Utd…
  7. This, Everton would no doubt love to piss on our chips but how far are they going to go? Will they scrap for every ball for 90 mins? Throw themselves into last ditch tackles? Put their bodies on the line chasing lost causes? I can’t see it, we need an early goal and they’ll fold.
  8. Good to finally meet you. Always interesting when I arrive and they ask are you here from the supporters group? Nope some random on an internet forum said I could help out. Looked great when I left tonight and it was only half done. Everyone is going to be impressed on Sunday.
  9. Not a fan. Looks like a bunch of ideas mushed together. But I pretty much always resent having blue in our kits.
  10. Cmon Sheffield put these saddos to bed along with their awful team.
  11. No its called being pedantic

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Boom. I've said before, I think the best way to see Bruno as captain is as being our spirit animal. He's not a Trippier or Speed (who wasn't actually captain but many of the players largely felt he was) but he's something of his own. He shows what total commitment, ambition, competitiveness and willingness to take responsibility under pressure looks like, none of which should ever be sniffed at. Our leadership collective is doing the business anyhow. We're lucky/have been very skillful in collecting such a decent, self supporting bunch of characters.
  14. Yeah there's 7-8 decent teams but no great teams as there has been in the past. I honestly think Atalanta have been the best side in the league this year and have basically wasted a huge opportunity through a few duff home results mid season and that silly spat between Lookman and Gasperini.
  15. Howe has been here 3 and a half seasons. Look at what the 3 managers you mentioned spent in their short time at Man Utd. Then allow for transfer inflation. Howe has didn't the 8th most in the PL since he's been here. Your 3 were in the top 3 spenders when at Man Utd https://www.transfermarkt.com/manchester-united/alletransfers/verein/985/1000/
  16. Think it's also indicative that as a collective, the top 7 or 8 in Italy are stronger than they have been for a while, but at the cost of having an outstanding champion.

  18. It's a weird one with this Napoli team. I feel like I spent so many years actually quite emotionally invested in the club during this De Laurentis era - first through Mazzarri's team, then Rafa's but particularly under Sarri. Three years in a row they had points hauls that would have won the league this year, and notably his final year in 17/18 where they still finished second with 90+ despite winning in Turin. The Spalletti title win came a bit out of nowhere really and was after the end of an era when the likes of Mertens, Insigne and Koulibaly had all left over the summer. But they fully deserved it and did it playing fantastic football so it really felt like a vindication for the club in this century - and also for Spalletti who had always been Mr. 2nd place himself at Roma. To now see this rag-tag Conte side scrap to the title this year playing once a week and be able hobble over the line with 82 points feels a little bit annoying to be honest. Obviously still pretty happy to see any title go outside of the big three and can't argue with Conte's record.
  19. I wasn't a fan of the design in isolation but in the player promo photos it looks really nice.
  20. Would happily wear this season's away kit for 10 years.
