    NUFC Transfer Rumours

As it was from 2 years ago Andre Onana's stock must have been pretty high that time.

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

I’d not want us to sign Boniface.
  9. Would people be happy with the same transfer window as 23/24, 2 first team players in Tonali and Barnes, 2 top youngsters in Hall and Livramento (I know Hall was a loan)? Looking back on that window, I'd be delighted with the same again.
  10. If I was a fan of any other club I would be desperate for them to win the final over Sheffield Utd mind. Narrative wise they are far more interesting addition to the PL. Alas I have to stan the Blades.
  11. Domestic cup competitions will rightly be lower priority than CL or PL fixtures. Winning a cup was vital this season, now it's done we are not so desperate any more, and we can use these competitions to rotate and get some vital game time for squad players. This alone makes them very important in their own right, especially if we have upgraded our squad.

Are you actually fucking kidding me...
  14. Actually, my apologies to you! I didn't see Frankfurt were 3rd That is going to be an interesting end to the season. If Dortmund win I think I'm right in thinking they need: a) those 2 to draw b) any Frankfurt win as Freiburg's GD is crap c) a thumping Freiburg victory. If Dortmund draw they need a Frankfurt win.
  15. Although the FA cup is more prestigious than the Carabao I really think that the top teams now put out stronger teams in the Carabao latter stages. The timing of the semis and final suits their agenda better than the FA cup when they could well be involved in the latter stages of European competition and the concluding part of the PL season as well. Certainly Brentford, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool and ourselves put everything into the Carabao games.

  17. irespective of where we finish in the top 5 we still qualify for C.L. so would take a draw, be absolutely brilliant if we finish 2nd, also its extra money by position on final lge table...personally i would prefer Forest ahead of Chelsea or Villa (disliked them since the "sob on the tyne" crap) to nab the 5th position

In the end, the 70 million deal fell through and Victor Boniface (23) had to stay in Leverkusen. It's no longer a secret that Leverkusen won't be entering the new season with both of its top attackers. Nor is it a secret that Boniface is the more likely candidate for sale. The portal "Africafoot.com" reported on Saturday that the German international could be leaving the Bundesliga. Newcastle are said to be in advanced talks with Bayer Leverkusen regarding Boniface, with a transfer fee of €50 million imminent. According to BILD, no negotiations have yet taken place between the two clubs, who could face each other in the Champions League next season. However, Leverkusen is definitely aware of the Englishman's strong interest in Boniface. The transfer fee mentioned could be in line with the club's expectations.
  20. Probably just need to work on the assumption they’ll all be fit. Lego heed will do anything he can to beat us.
  21. Arrogant as it may sound I don't even think the derbies would be "big" games for us if they came up, in the context that we will have many more important games to play next season. In fact the derbies would just become a distraction to more important matters, would hardly raise an eyebrow if we win them but a shock win for them would be shouted about for ever.
  22. Donnarumma has a year left on his contract i think - id have sandro have a cheeky word with him.
  23. He plays for AC Milan. Seen him wear the armband. People are being pedantic. It's not about the French league, it's about inexperience at a high-level. Being a goalkeeper isn't like being a central midfielder
