I remember Mort saying that part of the deal for Ashley to buy the club was to include him putting £20m into the club every season. I also remember reading on .co.uk when we were no longer up for sale was that he was going to take back his £130m that he put into the club with a payment of 10-15-20m a year but only when the club is in profit, which will probably be at the end of this financial year we'll be paying off some of the loan thanks to skeleton face leaving for liverpool.

I'll find the article but I read somewhere that we're now down somewhere close to 40th or 50th whilst having Sunderland somwhere between 30th and 40th on the list. It's also believed that this years TV revenue has gone up from £35 to £45m for a few premier league teams so given that and the sale of Andy Carrol our revenue for the 2010/2011 season is already at £80m before we even begin to consider matchday income, merchandise and sponsorship deals. No matter how much I'd like us to go in for this guy I can't see it happening. If Ashley is going to spend money on youth prospects then I think he'll give the go ahead to sign players who are going to cost no more than £5m

at times I wish I could just change allegiance to another team as the last 3 years have been a compete nightmare for us and I can't think of a time I've been more pissed off as a Newcastle supporter than I am now. I'm not pissed off Carroll has gone but I am pissed off in the manner things have evolved, who's telling the truth, who's lying, did he put in a transfer request or didn't he, there's no need for them to drag it all into the public view as again it just makes us look a laughing stock and shows our club has no clue.

I'd rather we didn't sign this guy, we got rid of all the heartless bad apples from our squad and would rather we don't start signing them again. He seems like he's part of the bling brigade Dyer style and I'm not entirely sure he's playing for the right reasons, I think he's one of the people who pick up the pay cheque and he's happy.

I'd take him on a loan deal until the end of the season as I find it a little worrying how he can go from being so good at City to so bad at Villa. He may possibly be a confidence player in which case would he really succeed here, we don't exactly have a reputation for being the most patient of fans.

I wonder what our yearly wage is for our entire squad. Adding up the wage of all City players they're paying out 48m a year on wages for 7 players alone and that doesn't even include what the likes of balotelli, bridge and milner will be earning and I bet they don't come cheaply.

I think what makes the whole thing worse for me is we'll have to see the smug look on Bruce's face on MOTD2 tonight whilst telling us how he's put together a hard working set of lads that keep on fighting till the end for their magnificent fans.

I'd be interested to see the starting line up in the back four for the next game as I think under Hughton that Colicinna and Williamson would have been given their starting place straight back but I'm not sure whether Pardew will go with the same starting 11 against Liverpool or pick his opinion of the best 11.
