  1. With the Scholes jizzfest going on in the media over the last week I'm starting to get the impression that the PFA player of the season has already been decided. Afterall, what did Giggs do last year other than be the media darling?
  2. Can't believe it's already been a year. RIP
  3. Similar to the first post but mine would be: Seaman Neville Adams Campbell Pearce Beckham Gerrard Gascoigne Beardsley Shearer Rooney Unfortunately, I put Gerrard ahead of Scholes though ( I hate Gerrard ).
  4. I'd like to see us sort this deal out as soon as possible. We've got a few good prospects for the future, especially in the goalkeeping department so I hope we manage to hang on to them.
  5. Updated it with my quick guesses but kept them quite low.
  6. Looks like Hall is inline to replace Colo, I'd much rather it was Kadar though to give him some more match experience. I'd prefer our backline to be: Jose Kadar Williamson Simpson
  7. As harsh as it sounds, I've just no time for Hillsborough. Yes it was tragic and alot of people died, but it was also a long time ago now, things have changed since then and alot more worse things have happened so I don't see why we should have the yearly day of national morning which it pretty much turns into. If you look at the way Man U carry on regarding Munich I think is a prime example, they don't forget but other than the 50th anniversary since the event it's not been shoved in everyone's faces at the first oportunity. To me Liverpool are just a club who enjoy the attention of wallowing in self pity, its as though the entire club think it's cool to be sad.
  8. By far my favourite so far, although I have reservations regarding gold numbering, last time it was insanely difficult to read at times.
  9. that reminds me of PSG a bit i'll have a go at a yellow and green ajax style one http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/3585/yellowajax.jpg That reminds me of our training kit from about 10 years ago. At some point we have a yellow top with a green stripe down the centre which was quite nice, I loved that shirt and owned but unfortunately broke my arm badly and the nurse took a pair of scissors to it in hospital as they wouldn't let me take it off myself
  10. Havn't seen this posted anywhere else so thought I'd put it on here. Congratulations to the team, it's good to see our youth teams showing some progress with the U18's in the semi finals of the youth cup and now the U15 winning this event. Also, when did Steve Stone join us as their coach? I'd not heard anything about this.
  11. We won't be wearing the new kits this season. We're still under contract by Adidas. I go back to the last promotion season where we wore our Asics shirt for the first time during the last day of the season. Puma might pay Adidas royalties or something to get it out earlier. I can't see us wearing it this season in that case. Adidas and Puma have quite a strong rivalry between the companies and even the public in the city they're based. Alot of day to day decisions are based around whether you're from a Puma or Adidas side of the city, it sounds extreme but its true, they'll do no favours for each other.
  12. If only it were true. If only they'd play in stockings instead of socks, could maybe give Sullivan a ball gag so he'd STFU

    The play-offs

I too am keeping an eye on Reading. However I 'd be very surprised if we got into the play-offs. Having said that, compared to where we were at Christmas, mid table is a surprise!!! Looking at the BET365 table though most of the division could still be relegated- strange times. At Christmas things looked very bleak for you. For the last few weeks I've been keeping more of an eye on Reading (not just because I work in Reading and live in Berkshire) but the form you're in you are in with an outside chance, although I think it may slightly be a little too late now. Reading away is the one match I think we'll lose in the coming games.

    The play-offs

I can't see Forest going through the playoffs, especially on their current away record. For me I'd rather see either Swansea or Leicester go up but think it will quite probably be Cardiff. I'd like it to be Leicester since they'll have gained promotion 2 seasons running first to the Championship and a year later to the Premier League.

    Tamas Kadar

I agree he should have played when Enrique was injured even though Van Aanholt did a fabulous job us at LB. My personal preference is to develop our youth players before we develop other teams instead. I agree, he should have had more games when Enrique was injured and I'd have played him before Hall once Williams injured his hand.
  16. Will we be able to wear our new kit on the last home game of the season? I'd have thought our contract with Adidas will run until the end of may so legally we wouldn't be able to move from one kit manufacturer to the other as far as I'm aware. But then I suppose it's the same as when we've worn our new strips with new shirt sponsors like moving from Newcastle Brown / NTL / Northern Rock etc.

    When?

If we win our game in hand and then match Forest's results like for like we'll gain promotion with 5 games left so we could be celebrating after Sheff Utd match. Possibly earlier if we manage to be Forest the game before.

    Danny Guthrie

Who knows...he might have bought used? He's then going to be forking out atleast £100k on insurance for the car too. I think it was Andy Murray who recently bought a second hand Ferrari for £80k and then spent £130k on a years insurance. They're both in the high risk areas for insurers, expensive cars, career choice and age. I wish I was in that situation

    Oh Noes!!

Henry put the ball in the net in that Arsenal game. Ambramovich actually arrived the season before the 1-0 win. Good post though. Do I get kudos on almost remembering correctly?

    Oh Noes!!

I liked Bramble when he played for us, it was just the mistakes he so frequently made which was always the problem, for 89 minutes he could be brilliant and for 1 minute he'd be a complete liability. I remember the attempted clearance against Arsenal which we lost 3 - 2, he completely sliced it, up and over his head, over Given and into the net. Yet at the same time I also remember him being the reason we beat Chelsea 1 - 0 in the FA cup the year Abramovich arrived and he was absolutely colosus in that game, everything that came in the box he cleared. As much as I like him, he won't return, he got too much stick here and too much pressure, I also recall reading an interview where he was talking about being grateful his time at Newcastle game to an end due to the pressure he was under.
