  1. Seen this on another site but not entirely sure whether it's completely trust worthy. http://www.anorak.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/new-arsenal-away-kit.jpg Still, I think it's quite nice though.
  2. Puyol looks like he's wearing a fat suit.
  3. Good work. I love how even Shearer pointed out in the press conference about Dowie face. "he's here to give us a new look............not exactly a pretty one mind you"
  4. I'd say yes that team should be strong enough to keep us up. there should also be an option for will that team actually happen, then it would definately be a no. I'd like to see when fit Haper Beye Colo Bassong Enrique Taylor Barton Nolan Jonas Owen Oba
  5. Absolutely love this. If this was one of our shirts I'd buy it instantly, even if it was only worn once like the green strip in the 90's.
  6. Given the current circumstances I'm reading nothing into this other than agent talk. last week or the week before it's let slip we're in contract talks with Bassong over giving him a better contract, things quieten down then rumours of his contract being pulled and Carrolls being renewed, suddenly Arsenal are interested in him. Coincidence? not in my opinion.
  7. In Jose and Xisco I think we've brought in two very promising talents, but not only that 2 very professional individuals. They're both saying the right words, getting on with the job and not complaining about it. I hope, fingers crossed that in 2 or 3 yeasr time these two are playing more matches together and that we can bring in more players with the same attitude as them instead of the usual mercenaries.
  8. I'd love to see him get more of a chance in the next few weeks, especially ahead of ameobi who does nothing except give the opposition an extra man. I'd rather if when fit Xisco gets picked ahead of Viduka as lets face it, his contract isn't going to get renewed, he's not going to be here next season so why bother keeping a promising and eager player on the bench when he clearly wants to play. In terms of first choice stirkers from now my choices would be: Owen - Martins - Xisco - Lovenkrands - Smith (gonna get slated) - Viduka - Ameobi
  9. That would account for 3 of them then, if they're even members. What about the rest? Did I fall asleep and miss this bit, or are you basing this on one win against the team at the bottom of the league? I wasn't referring to those 3 individually, i'm referring to all the protestors as a collective, to me the whole thing just smacks of chavs turning up to be on sky, how often do you see anyone at these protests who are either over 25 or dont have their tracksuits tucked into their socks. As for the stability, i wasn't referring to the team, I'm referring to actually having some management in place at the club instead working towards selling up they're working towards running the club now. Ashley might not be everyone's cup of tea but I believe in him and that he'll turn things around.
  10. In no way do I support the NUSC, it seems to me as though the people who join these unions are the people who wander round the stadium looking to get on tv with a 'cockney mafia' banner over and over again. To me they've not got the best interests of Newcastle at heart, they've got their own motives which is to get some self publicity. Purely based on current circumstances when everyone needs to pull together to get us out of this mess, why segregate yourself from the group and begin protesting when we're beginning to get some stability back in the club?

    John Terry?

I think it is him actually Where else would they find someone who doesn't stop complaining
  12. Strengthened I think we've strengthened our team. Taylor will help us our more in dead ball situations, we've not had anyone all season who can put in a decent cross time and time again from either the wing, free kicks or corners so how many wasted opportunities have we had gone awry? Nolan will help out our midfield alot in my opinion, he pops up with a few goals and also gets back to defend as we seen on sunday, I think my biggest plus point with him is that he's a genuine leader and in the middle of the park and we need someone who will communicate with the rest of the team. Lovenkrands I'm not entirely sure about, he showed a few touches of some skill and work ethic on saturday but I'm not convinced he'll do that on a regular basis for us. Players out Given will definately be missed, but I'm not too worried about him leaving, I think at some stage or another over the last few years everyone on this forum has talked about how capable a premier league keeper Harper is, now Given is gone people are acting like it's the end of NUFC when it's not, Harper made quite a few important saves on Sunday and some of the 1 on 1's I think Shay might have missed, he got an unlucky bounce with the ball for their goal but you can't fault him in anyway for that if you ask me. N'Zogbia, personally I think this was a good bit of business, I dont think he was ever going to fill his potential, he's a jumped up little frenchman in my opinion who thinks he's bigger and better than he is.
  13. Does noone have a gif of it or anything? I missed it. Was that the one when there were about 5 mackem players trying to get the ball off him and Jonas in the corner and couldn't get anywhere near.
  14. He had a decent game today IMO, alot better than the useless donkey who was upfront with him. I'd have liked to have seen Carroll stay on and taken Shola off although it just depends on whether the injury was ran off or is going to cause problems for the next match. Oba and Carroll upfront for West Brom?
  15. Woo We actually have a midfielder who can play football. Good signing IMO
  16. As mentioned, the likes of Lua Lua, Ranger and Krul should definately be given their chance. I've been waiting for Lua Lua to get more of a role lately but so far hasn't happened other than fleeting substitute appearances. I'd love to see Lua Lua start a game or atleast given 45 minutes, lets face it with the likes of Butt and Geremi on the field we aren't going to achieve anything other than a relegation dog fight, I think Lua Lua would give us the attacking spark which we need.
  17. I didn't see this one coming at all. very good player in my opinion, tough, attacking and willing to defend. very happy with this signing if he does join us.

    Obafemi Martins

Not that I want him rushed back but IMO on Sunday we need him more than ever. We've lost too many players through injury lately and that doesn't look as though its going to get any better anytime soon.
  19. edit since I was beaten to the article. I would love to see Veloso here, can't see it happening though.

    Allardyce!

I think I must be in the minority who didn't want him to leave.
  21. I'd like to see us line up as Given Beye Coliccini Bassong Enrique Jonas Barton Guthrie N'Zogbia Martins Xisco
  22. People are correct about not knowing what state both Barton and Jonas are on, but equally they both still should have been given more than 6 minutes on the pitch to try and make an impact, even if they were brough on straight after the goal I feel they would have made a difference. As soon as those two came on we were a much stronger team, more so down to the fact we swapped shit players for good players. IMO Martins was farely annonymous today, to me he would be the one most likely to gain an advantage from a long ball but everytime there was possibly one he could chase he always had his back to goal. I'm finding it very hard right now to think of some players who came out of today with some credit other than Barton/Jonas with their 6 minute cameo, after that I'd possibly say Bassong, colicinni and given did ok, nothing special but no blatant cock ups like some other players
