Must admit I thought the irony was delicious. Losing 1-0 after having spent about £200,000,00 on 3 new attackers and £0 on a new GK - you reap what you sow They did look better in the final third but after throwing (another) £200m at the issue it's the fucking least I'd expect tbh. If they finish 7th they've had a mint season imo.

We're going to need at least 6 or 7 contributing midfielders this season given the number of games we're going to be playing and Ramsey ticks a big box for me. He'll get at least 40 appearances this season and looking forward to seeing what he can do. We're going to have to relent a bit at some point and understand, as a fanbase, that we simply can't name Bruno, Tonali and Joelinton every single game - that just won't work this season, we need to manage minutes carefully and if that means we need to go with Ramsey, Bruno and Miley to start the CL game on the Wednesday night and go Joelinton, Tonali and Bruno (subbed on 60 for Miley or whatever) for the league game on the Saturday then we just need to accept it. It's about looking after the minutes and legs of the squad and trying to find the right compromise to keep everyone as fit and happy as possible. It's going to be difficult as fuck tbh

Very early to judge here on his debut but Gyokeres looked like he was towing a caravan all afternoon. I'll be kind and describe him as "unathletic"
-
I get that, totally I'm just not sure that shoving him out of the door is the best move for the club this summer and moving forward. I'm probably being a bit spiteful but I want to see him 'punished' in some way for how he's gone on this summer. It's a bit childish and reactive but his actions need to have consequence and letting him go this window seems like we're giving in and letting him get what he wants and I'm not up for that. I also want us to be as strong as fuck with this for the future and thinking about others potentially doing this in the next few years. Isak has been an utter cunt and I don't want other players to see him being a cunt and getting what he wants in the process. I honestly don't think there's a correct answer to the Isak problem. I just don't want us to be seen as being weak

Come on, wrap this shit up and get it done now ffs
-
And he's 100% correct. Clubs that have money and are under no threat of going under are prevented from spending and investing by the current rules put in place by a select few clubs. These are facts and they're not disputable imo. The rules are working exactly as they were meant to

There's 3 outcomes here I reckon: 1. As you say - get him out for as much as possible as soon as possible 2. Reintegrate him back into the team, public apology, agent sacked, possible new contract, buyout fee etc 3. He rots until January Honestly don't know the order of which I'd prefer. The club needs to come first though, fuck him and his wishes on every level possible
-
Absolutely fed up of hearing about how I'll (and you'll) supposedly stop giving a shit about what he's done if he's reintegrated back into the squad and starts scoring goals again. I'll apparently instantly forget about what he's done this summer as soon as the ball hits the back of the net again for the first time. Amnesia will kick in immediately and the whole thing will be wiped out like it's never happened. Fuck that. I think he's a snidey, cowardly little snake cunt for the rest of my time now. I'll not be changing my opinion on him if he bags 4 a week, he's proven himself to be a cunt this summer and I'll not be ignoring anything he's done. Others can do what they want but my mind's made up 100% on him as a person now

Cracking start for them today, can't deny it. They're still riding a bit of wave, spent about £150m and twatted West Ham on opening day in the sun. Of course they're going to enjoy it, they're off the mark and today was a 6 pointer for them. The novelty and momentum will wear off eventually and they'll tumble down the league in time but they've clearly got a decent chance of staying up. The key for them will be the research that other teams will start doing on them now. Last season they also started really well, got points on the board early and the second half of their season was chalk and cheese - multiply that by 10 this season. They'll get found out, it'll happen

Lots of positives from that performance today, don't think anyone played poorly and a point away at Villa is never a bad one. Could and probably should have won it but just never took the chances too well, didn't work their keeper often enough but the opportunities were there. Loved the way we came out and dominated them from the off, completely snuffed them out in that first half - solid, consistent and composed for a lot of those 90 minutes as a team. I'm taking the positives from that and it's nice to actually talk about the football rather than that fucking snake
-
Why the fuck is Jota allowing this to happen? Tonight of all nights?
-
There's no way I should be this annoyed only 45 minutes into the season ffs. The fucking breaks these cunts get man, fuck me
-
Those cheeky little scouse scamps again, what are they like, eh? Bless'em
-
Actually can't stand this lot, got it on mute and still fucked off just watching. Another historic and legendary atmosphere at Mournfield under the lights - tonight's other team - Bournemouth Utter cunts man
-
Understanding his anger (probably correctly tbh, I think he was probably asking for a new contract and deserved it too ) and condoning going on strike are 2 very different things. I get they're Swedish pundits talking about the top current Swedish player but even they are calling what he's done out a bit. It's hardly a rock solid endorsement of his actions is it?
-
I'm open to facts and willing to change my opinion based on whatever evidence I read mate, honestly It just seems to be the case that Isak, whilst being (poorly) advised by a dodgy agent is still going through with his orders despite having been involved in loads of transfers and contract negotiations. To even suggest Isak has no say or input into how he's behaving is, in my opinion, extremely dubious and naive. The shithouse knows exactly what he's doing and the consequences of it and for him to then pretend he's had no part in it is duplicitous to say the least. Isak is a certified cunt. His agent is also probably a certified cunt too. It's no surprise to me they ended up working with each other, that's not an accident imo
-
I can believe all of that tbh. A few facts to back it up would be nice to help to form a bit of context but I'd agree that his agent is also a piece of shit He's still going along with it despite everything though and that's more than enough to tar and feather him. If you're prepared to buy the old 'agent told me' horseshit line in 2 weeks time then that's completely up to you
-
Isak's an intelligent guy and is in no way some wet behind the ears young kid who's just starting his career. He's already played in multiple countries and played for multiple clubs and knows exactly how this game goes, to even start to pretend he's been 'badly advised' by his agent is utter pigshit, Isak has willingly gone into this with his eyes wide fucking open, he knows exactly what he's doing and the consequences of it too. All he's done this last month is show the entire footballing world what a monumental cunt he actually is. Most neutral fans now think he's a piece of shit, his own fans hate him, Liverpool fans are now very suspicious of him and most pundits are saying he's being a cunt too. He's got no-one to hide behind for this, he's the one in the spotlight and he's the one who's gone along with it every step of the way. To believe the 'agent told me' horseshit is ridiculous and indicative of the lack of critical thinking skills

'any player deemed good enough'... Obviously age and contract length will come into it too
-
Seems like £30m is just the automatic base starting price for any player deemed good enough for the PL. Some will be more obviously but the inflation is very real Just makes the rolling £105m over 3 years seem even more mental than ever
