  1. I could just about entertain selling on so quickly if he didn't play in the EXACT position we've got a massive, gaping hole in the first XI. If he was another CM and we were already stacked there then it's an easy decision to sell him for pure profit. But that's not the situation - if he's anywhere near as good as lots of people think he is then keeping him and filling that gap would solve an even bigger problem in the actual first team. Either way, I'm not sure this decision needs to be made before he's even pulled a Newcastle training shirt on. I'm half tempted to just take the hit of 2 or 3 points and keep him. He makes an impact early days then he'll grab us far more than that over the 38 games we'd play with something threatening on the right AND left
  2. Can't be sure about valuations in articles written by shithawks but 37 seems a very high starting point but it's just that - a starting point. I'm sure they think our apparent starting point of about 15 is really low too. We're in the opposite position regarding Ashworth. Difference is that Everton need the cash and his value will be £0 in just 12 months time, it's an ambitious valuation but Calvert-Lewin's value will disappear, they've got 2 windows to shift him and they'll be lucky to get 8 for him in January

Impossible to be negative about it as I've got absolutely no idea who he is or what he's done. I've read he got his team relegated last season and their fans are apparently delighted he's going. Bodes well

It's not Don Hutchinson is it?
  5. Makeweight probably wasn't the best word to use tbf I'm just not a fan of losing Minteh to bring in someone like DCL. A different player goes the other way then absolutely do the deal - just not Minteh
  6. Unless it's a ridiculous amount of money Minteh shouldn't be going anywhere. He certainly shouldn't be used as a makeweight in a deal for a relatively average PL striker. I'd go as far as suggesting he's quite possibly the answer to our RW problem. The whole suggested deal is a hard no from me
  7. 100% agree The rules are ridiculous and ridiculous workarounds are needed to circumvent them. The whole thing needs to be scrapped and completely reworked so shit like this isn't necessary and clubs can spend what they can afford. The new rules need to allow ambition without unlimited spending whilst simultaneously protecting clubs from shit owners. It needs to be genuinely fair and not just 'fair' on the label

    NUFC Transfer Rumours

Can't begrudge Olise that move tbh, massive club with a mint tradition and history and he'll be unbelievable over there. Fair play to him, hope he smashes it
  9. The situation hasn't changed in months now, if he wanted to resolve it he could pick up the phone and offer a more reasonable figure as compensation - it's that straightforward. Offering a pittance then moaning when it's not immediately accepted makes him look ridiculous especially when he's twisting on in public every week. Not suggesting he should offer exactly what are asking for but it's got to at least half to even start a negotiation? Surely he knows how deals are made and concessions are usually made on both sides, that's how normal people do things, this cunt though - fuck me. What a wanker
  10. I'd love to see this English squad with a manager who had a bit of belief in them and encouraged them to go forward and play aggressively. We need to play on the front foot (apologies for the Pardew-ism), this set of midfielders and attackers are fucking mint but they're constantly being stifled by the dour negative fucker in the dugout who is seemingly scared shitless of letting them get at team. Cut them loose ffs. It's infuriating seeing the same issues game after game after game. Absolutely sure Southgate will be satisfied with that - top of the group and looking good to qualify. Type of bloke who opens a party-popper directly into the bin. This is just fucking dreadful to watch
  11. Got very little faith in Southgate to have the nous and/or bollocks to sort this. He needs to both figure this wank out and have the bottle to upset a few of his favourite lads and start addressing the obvious issues. He's way too loyal and we're way to predictable, these are not new problems we're seeing
  12. Can someone please take Shearer off comms? He's painfully bad at this. Sounds like the know-nowt gobshite who props the bar up
  13. This half is a classic example of why I'd love to see Southgate at Man U. Turgid, passive, dull and insipid wank football
  14. Baresi Platini Xavi Van Basten And if we're including a German to make a 5-a-side team then it would be Matthaus
  15. Ridiculous from Mbappe but if the ref had just allowed the subs on then it would never have happened
  16. Aye, I think I'll leave the financial side of things up to the people actually running the place tbh. The Swiss Ramble does a lot of brilliant work and he's a good read but he's basing everything off predictions - which is fair enough as he hasn't got the numbers yet. The people running the place know it to the penny and the fact that no-one has been sold (yet) AND we're widely reported to be in a position to potentially drop circa £75m on Trafford and Olise doesn't really stack up either. That's without mentioning the 'emergency' Training kit sponsor I'm sure they've still got up their sleeve if it gets really tight. I think we'll have to wait until July before we spend but I'm not remotely concerned as of yet
  17. I honestly think it's his weight, he looks enormous. He's always have a big physique but he seemed to balloon at Man U, went to Inter(?) slimmed right down and looked amazing for a year or 2. He now looks like he'd give the Hungary #9 a run jog for his money
  18. Do like the flexibility the team has, there's no distinct clear formation and it's nice to see. They're a time to be rigid and organised but there's also a time to trust players to be intelligent enough to almost wing it and cover for each other. This is much more like what I want to see from that front 6
  19. Serbs look fucking huge. Got some proper units in there
  20. They're threatening to walk away from a deal Everton (I'm pretty sure) want no part of
