I could just about entertain selling on so quickly if he didn't play in the EXACT position we've got a massive, gaping hole in the first XI. If he was another CM and we were already stacked there then it's an easy decision to sell him for pure profit. But that's not the situation - if he's anywhere near as good as lots of people think he is then keeping him and filling that gap would solve an even bigger problem in the actual first team. 100% agree The rules are ridiculous and ridiculous workarounds are needed to circumvent them. The whole thing needs to be scrapped and completely reworked so shit like this isn't necessary and clubs can spend what they can afford. The situation hasn't changed in months now, if he wanted to resolve it he could pick up the phone and offer a more reasonable figure as compensation - it's that straightforward.
