If we don't go up this year we'll be down here for the next 10 years.
-
Erm, pass. As if today's 'performance' wasn't humiliating enough.
-
Playing shite, grabbing a draw, going top then seeing Forest lose is more than we could have hoped for with 10 mins to go. Win these 2 home games and we might have a bit of daylight again between us and 3rd.
-
Good. Let's get these 2 home games out of the way and have a nice long sit down and a cup of tea. We need to put our feet up and get our breath for a bit.

Been absolutely useless for a while now. His goals compensated for his lack of effort/movement/skill earlier in the season but now he's not scoring he's simply not worth his place. Badly needs a rest/transfer. (Delete as appropriate)

I know it's tempting to try to work out how many points we're going to finish on but we can't do fixture lists I'm afraid. Or anything that looks like a fixture list. Sorry.

Tedious, sloppy, lacklustre, negative shite. Utter fucking dross.

Broadly agree with James ( ) and Yorkie about leaving it up to the ref to use his discretion and hand out whatever card he sees fit for each incident. The only problem with that would be that it would lead to inconsistency from game to game. Managers, fans and players would complain about every decision and compare it to a similar incident the previous week/month which led to a different punishment. This is the crux of it though. Do you want consistency or common sense? You can't have both. Say what you like about the rule as it stands, at least everyone knows what the punishment for a 'professional foul' is. There's consistency. Scrap the rule and you get sensible, measured punishments but the consistency will go out of the window. Tricky one.

Boro either did, or were fucking close to, in '86.

The Yank didn't flinch too much when the shit hit the fan last season and stuck by Sbragia until the end of the season. Then again once Keane walked he didn't have much choice... Might be different this time around because it's cost him £30m net and they're doing worse this season than last. Might test his patience a bit.

This, basically. If it were any other club the wanker who wrote it wouldn't have batted an eyelid about who we've signed. Still not worth getting annoyed about though. It's exactly what they want.

Said it in another thread but the PL will move heaven and earth to make sure they fulfill their fixtures and some deal will be done. The potential embarrassment that having a PL team go out of existence during the course of the season is massive. Read somewhere that they want the other clubs to allow them to recieve their parachute payment now to pay the bills and see the season out. After that they'll be fucked big time and will drop through the divisions...but that won't concern the PL because they'll be history once the final ball is kicked this season as far as the PL is concerned.

Aye, I know it was only a month's loan but if they need him for the bench? -

Any chance of Van Aarnholt being recalled by Chelsea seeing as Cole has knacked his ankle? -

We'll get hammered 1-1. -
Pretty sure some kind of deal would be done to ensure Cardiff (and Portsmouth and Southend for that matter) were able to fulfil their fixtures to complete the season. Not saing it definitely won't happen but I'd be astonished if it did.

Was looking at their top scorers last night. It went: Bent 15 Jones 7 then about 3 who've scored 2 and about 7 who've scored once... If anything happens to him they'll go down. They remind me so much of us last season, it's starting to tighten up and they've got some tough games coming up (starting with Arsenal away) and could easily end up in the bottom 3 at Easter. Get, the fuck, in.

Just give the cheating cunt the cards and the whistle and let him ref the game as he's playing.
-
Not going to have a pop at Hughton tonight. He got it badly wrong against Leicester but I was pleased he started with the same XI that twatted Cardiff. It didn't work out but I can't ault the bloke for setting his team up to go out and win the game. If he continues to do this then I think we'll win far more than we lose and go up.
-
Thinking about this a bit more, Clough should be annoyed with his players. They can beat us and Forest, hold West Brom and are still right down there at the foot of the table. How come? They're either raising their game when they play one of the better teams or they're going through the motions against the rest of the league. Whatever it is he should be expecting more from them. They're cheating him tbh.

Don't think results have any copyright.

As you were as far as automatic promotion is concerned. The gap is still 4 and a game in hand. Not ideal but finishing top 2 was always going to be the priority.
-
Had they not lost 6 at home so far? This will be their 8th win. West Brom have only won 9.
-
Sounds like one of those nights tbh. We were always going to lose a few between now and the end of the season and Derby are pretty good at home. We've had more of the ball and Hughton picked the side we all wanted to see and it hasn't worked. We take it on the chin and move on to Swansea. It's very disappointing but it's not the end of the world.

If we're creating chances then it doesn't need to be changed just yet. Give it til 60 and if we need a goal then swap the strikers. If Ameobi and Lovenkrands are going to do anything they need half an hour - not a pissy 10 minute thing.
