you haven't seen them perform at a bare minimum level for months why is this new? why is this any more upsetting? im saying temper the disappointment with the belief improvement will come.

i joke a lot but seriously anyone frothing at the mouth that things weren't instantly much better needs their head examined. jones isn't a world class manager able to change things in 2 weeks. we're going to improve but it will be gradual and not overnight. get a fucking grip lads. edit: yes, the performance is underwhelming but the absolutely cringeworthy whinging way over the top.

i think he's safer hands than his last season would indicate and i assume he'll be extremely well backed in January. If he was a summer hire it would be massively underwhelming but considering the circumstances this appointment is closer to copacetic than catastrophe.

maybe the takeover has softened my view, but he now strikes me as something of a pitiable, almost tragilarious figure, no different than countless clueless middle-management dweebs in the business world who would jump at being offered a position above their station, with their performance never scrutinized by a boss whose indifference bordered on hostile.
