All very very predicable, much like it was with us. Just astonishing that he keeps being employed with a track record of zero achievement. Sure he will be off soon, with the same bullshit excuses. The mans joke.

Newcastle United vs. Bournemouth: 17/09/2022 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

Just rewatched the last home against Arsenal last season, another performance and result like that, and Forest, would be just reward for the last few games, where things have not gone our way. Having a few back would be a big boost too. -
West Ham United P-P Newcastle United - 11/9/22 @ 2pm (Sky Sports)

Hoping its case of keeping our cards close and at least one of them is back. Howe wont rush anything though and is far to professional to risk further breakdowns. -
Cracking read and brilliant insight into his thinking, which I have to be honest, is something else and way above what I thought we were getting when he signed. I just hope him, Dan and the team are given the time and space to build this the way they are, and that expectations dont get in the way of this. There will be bumps along the way but we all need to stay united behind him, come rain or shine.

Now Eales (and the legal guy) is in place, I am sure the club is very confident commercial revenues will improve drastically over the next 2-3 years which should offset some of our current spending, given payments etc are likely to be spread for players etc. Add to that our cronic lack of spending over the previous years, I think we can probably speculate more than the club is letting on. We have already spent c.£215M and it seems we have another c.£40m for a midfielder available...

Only 22, second game in the prem against one of the best sides in the world! Give him a break...

No way is he leaving unless it is crazy money, which they dont have. He will stay, but we do need to show a bit more intent strengthening our front lines if we are to keep him beyond next season IMO.

Fair play to Watford for identifying all these players in the first place, then developing them to a point their values have increased so much! I assume this is a model we will adopt to, and need to. Begs the question why they did not perform last year with these players. My mate is a Watford fan and he says they recruit well with players, but their management appointments have been the complete opposite.

Brighton & Hove Albion 0-0 Newcastle United (13/08/2022)

Was very obvious we need to replace ASM and Almiron today. Just no end product. Point gained as they deserved it more. Good chat with some Brighton fans after, decent club and fans. Wish them well this season. -

Not saying we will not lose to City, but think we will fair better against the top 6 this season with less hammerings! Howe will have it as a target to get more from the top 6 this season, espicially at Home. Back to Brighton - will be interesting to see if they can keep their form up this season as they lost 2 very good players. Man U result is no indication for us, they are totally shite. A point would be good, but hoping for a win at last. I'm going and looking forward to it. -
Solid top 8 would be very good progress. Will do the poll once the transfer has closed and we have 10 games under our belt. A lot can change between now and the end of the window. Certainly think we need another striker to make top 8 so lets see.

If I'm reading that right, that's hillarious.

I think we will get a lot more goals, even with current squad, without necessarily spending loads on offensive players. Howe came in off a horrendous run of form, and a deperate team that had not been coached for 2 yrs plus. He solidified a shit defence, and played a brilliant tactical game. Once safe, we saw glimpses, especially against Arsenal, of what these players can do. An even better defense equals a much stronger platform for his approach, and our current players to be more expressive (something also managaed out of them for years). Pretty sure we will see a number of players blossom in our offensive positions this year by virtue of above. Yes, it would be nice to add a bit more but we are building a much more solid platform, with a very good coach. Time for some to chill out!!! P.s. We will also concede less, hopefully.

Unbelieable what the new owners have achieved in 9 months!! Another astute hire with a very good background.
-
Only job in the world you get paid your full contract for being totally shite. Its not right but it is what it is. Imagine signing a multi million contract knowing you will get paid if you fail!! Meet Steve Bruce. Epic failure on just about every managerial level.
-
Not sure on Isak - hardly prolific compared to other similarly priced targets? (I dont know much about him though to be fair)
-
I dont blame him for coming here but totally blame the two fat idiots who thought it was a good idea in the first place.
-
Dwight Gayle on 2M a year should be reported as fraud.
-
Good point about call ups! Doubt Joelinton will get a call soon though. He might if he keeps up last seasons form.
-
In the old world - zero investment, 8 year contracts and zero reward. Think DA has other ideas. Think a few will come in this summer with potential and hit senior squad next season when the antiques retire.

Diaby would be unreal. Surely going to take a massive fee to get him here so suspect he would be the icing on the cake and then focus on shifing a load of players.
