  1. Everton. Miserable scouse pricks with a plethora of chips on their shoulders.
  2. What a load of cobblers. Forgetting that there is not a great deal of evidence to support your assertions regarding Zoggy, just where on earth are you getting that Emre doesn't care for the cause? Sads highligheded how it was great to see how Emre puts everything into even reserve games, and that it was a joy to work with him. After his injury in that game Keegan spoke of his dissapointment and just how useful Emre was as one of the few that can bring something different to the team in terms of opening up defences. He's injured and yet doesn't turn up for games? Woah, the fecker needs crucifying.
  3. Ya what? A hand ball, and taking the lad not the ball in the area? Seemed pretty lucky to me not to be given.
  4. No doubts about it, just be confirmed on tribal football dot com.
  5. "In the biggest changes since Mike Ashley bought Newcastle last summer, The Times can reveal that Tony Jimenez, a London-based property developer, will join the board as a vice-president and Jeff Vetere, a scout for Real Madrid, will be appointed as technical director to complete a continental-style management structure working in support of Kevin Keegan." Wah wah wah, the knee jerk hand wringing on this forum is unbelievable. It amazes me why so many on here are getting their panties in such a fucking wad over a change in the club structure people have been banging on about for years.
  6. Or at least got the wrong end of the stick and used it to his advantage. Criticism and cynicism are generally pretty healthy traits, but taking on board this case, I hope people take note of Morts interview and maybe try not to dive in and damn those running the club so hastily next time.
  7. I'm not implying we did or we didn't, the gist was 'who the ferk knows', aimed at you getting all uppity and judgemental that we approached Redknapp, despite having no clue where he was in the pecking order, or who else was sounded out that didn't spout off to the media.
  8. How about judging them on the sheer fact they approached Nappy first? Eh? Meh, for all we know they approached Mourinho first. Considering Redknapp hadn't even talked to Ashley, which I would guess would be one, if not the most important things to do for an incoming manager (it certainly was for Keegan), not to mention for Ashly himself, i would say it was far from the clear cut case that saggy chops chose to release to the media.
  9. Expires next week. Seriously, does anyone know? Some fella on here who said he was ITK (i know, i know) said 3 years didn't he? 3 1/2 according to the Beeb.
  10. Really not a fan of Houllier, Liverpool were bang on to get shot of him when they did.
  11. He was technically no2 under Roeder before he retired. Number 3 tbf.

    Mark Hughes

TF is off the fence and backing his appointment (not that that means much mind). http://www.true-faith.co.uk/html/tbawe.htm
  13. Long term, long term. He was never going to get "long term, long term" because of the shite he brought in and the shite served up on the pitch, and as for behind the scenes, Robson more than hinted that the players were in no way happy with the changes made, or him. Allardyce needed to go and if you want the stability you so obviously crave, we need a managment team that the owner and Chairman can have faith in. As for the timing, as Wullie has already argued, now is far from the worst time to get rid, he had a chance to pull it back against some poor teams and failed. The season is over in terms of silverware, and the last thing we needed was a lame duck in charge for the tough fight ahead.

    Paul Merson

Hope he manages to sort his life out. Hope all the miserable fucks in this thread sort there's out too.
  15. Given the other possible names, I hope to hell it is.
  16. Redknapp or Shearer? Good luck to whoever, but all things considerered Shearer would be a mental choice.
  17. Fine. For me, if nothing else I'm looking forward to see what he can do with the squad, see if they can actully play some football. We might have had a chance to bring in a 'world class' manager had Robson's departure been handled better, but now it would be a fantastic surprise and not expected as seems to be the case with a lot of people on here. I'm cool with Redknapp, not because he excites me that much as a manager, but at least he knows how to play the game and that for me is a positive step forward from the shit we've had to put up with under Allardyce. If Mourinho couldn't be persuaded, then how far down the list of managers would Redknapp have been realistically for most? Not too far in my mind. It just doesn't seem to be the disaster some are now suggesting, if he fails, then Ashley will hopefully learn from the experiance and another manager will get a chance.
  18. As a poster who has consistently backed poor managers and their decisions that have in the end cost the club dearly, you banging on that Redknapp (if he were to take over) will fail has strangely given me some confidence that the saggy jowled git may in fact succeed. Cheers.
