Picks and chooses his games. Since mid December he's played one game IIRC, Liverpool at home. Anyone remember the special circumstances of why he appeared that day?

Am i the only one who hates it with a passion? I detest people who have it as their mobile ringtone and smile like a cunt when it goes off thinking they are the only person in the world who'd be clever enough it use it for that purpose. Tossers.

Kits are usually released around my Birthday (nice timing) end of May. It a couple of weeks after mind IIRC, so June would be a safe bet.

Like he gives a s*** about that. He's only been here 3/4 of a season and injured for half of that. Not exactly fan favorite either. If he was to go to Sunderland he would still want to live in and around Newcastle, and will be aware of the amount of shit and abuse he would get. I'm also pretty sure that Roeder and Shepherd wouldn't sell him to Sunderland. Again who would grief him, i wouldn't bat an eyelid if we got the money Spurs were offering for him. I do think Fat boy would never sell a supposed jewel to the scum, no matter what circumstances.

When we are doing well the whole place is buzzing. Everyone is black & white, its quite brilliant and sickening at the same time. Whether that is because we have a few fair weather fans or because the real fans are sick as piss and tend not to talk much about goings on at the moment. Either way, we need some more good times so everyone can walk that extra inch taller. (especially Dave)

The problem with Neill is he's on something like 60k at West Ham, would you pay him that? Dyer's getting £80k+, Owen's on £100k+, Duff must be on £60k-ish, same with Martins... Luque is getting paid £40k or there abouts. Obviously these won't be exact figures, so feel free to pull me up on any you think might be way out. £60k these days is sadly becoming fairly normal - I actually dread to think what we're paying the likes of Carr and Babayaro at the minute and the fact that we are paying Luque £40k a week (or so) for practically nothing means that I would not object to us getting shot of him and buying a first-choice fullback and paying him £60k p/w. I don't doubt that it's obscene, but I'm sure the likes of Wayne Bridge would command a similar sort of wage, and I personally think that Neill is a far better bet than the likes of Johnson and Hoyte, who are yet to really prove anything in the game. It all depends on Solano, really. If he can play to his current level for another season then I would not object to us looking at someone like Hoyte and preparing him for the future. If Solano isn't going to be the solution next season, then we need to look at getting somebody of proven class in. Is Neill definitely on £60k p/w? Was he getting that at Blackburn? (Seems outlandish for them lot!) The only mention I've heard of the £60k thing came from someone who was describing him on the new database of Football Manager, that's why I'm asking. All the papers put him as £60kpw, in fact every media source listed it at that figure, the FM update came a month after the window shut (and am sure it wasn't even that figure) , so hardly its fault now is it?

Really smacks of desperation in here, nice work NE5, keep it up (if you can)
-
£18m + £7m = not affordable... Glad to see us keeping it realistic, although the call for Ronaldinho to be the club mascot and do a dance at HT was a little bit OTT.

Watford Vs Portsmouth Plymouth has just got underway on BBC 1. Any preferences from anyone? Suppose i'll go with the under-underdog.

Aye, you'd think her fave character from Corrie had just passed away
-
He's not a very good advert for reaching 52, I'm shit scared just thinking about my 52nd birthday. I wonder if he celebrates twice, a bit like the Queen, once as NE5 the other as...

never heard of it. Why don't you answer what I asked you anyway, or stick to the topic, instead of ruining the thread ? I've been through all this before with youLeazesMag on toontastic, go over there and read the West Ham thread if you want answers. BTW why have you copied Leazes Mags thread then? http://www.toontastic.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=9187&hl= http://www.newcastle-online.com/nufcforum/index.php?topic=29970.0 A bit sad don't you think? Haven't you got a mind of your own? The irony of the 'Nowt like a selective memory.' comment is far from lost on me. mackems.gif

You are LeazesMag, you told me that a long time ago in a pm, we both know the truth and you'll only be fooling yourself if you deny it. He is getting on you know, maybe he's just simply forgotten who he was/is.

Maxwell would be an excellent signing, and one in both our price range and availability. Not having the best of times at Inter, restricted appearances, i'd go for that. Taiwo again had a solid WC, liked the look of him. Edit: I was talking about the Nigerian one playing for Marsielle, again good player.

No, Watford V Plymouth. Can't wait! Bollocks, misread the sky bar thingy this morning, thought it was Pompy
-
He is a gamble, especially here, but i think he could be one worth taking, GR brought him up through the WHU squad, he might respond well to GR over another manager.
-
Hoyte looked good when I first saw him but how was he at the Mackems? Has he learnt how to defend? I think its a work in progress tbh, but from what i've seen he's been tidy, and one of there better defenders, certainly in the 1st half of the season. Pompy are on BBC 1 shortly aren't they? Go watch him score and own goal and get sent off just to fuk my argument right up.
-
Was ace at Millwall, good at WHU, poor at Chelsea and well above average at Pompy. He's making progress, the Chelsea machine just churned him up and spat him out, its done it to bigger names and will continue to do so. Can i ask what are you basing his ability on? Which part of his career and do you think he's been just as bad in your opinion at Portsmouth? He only played a handful of games for both Millwall and West Ham, got overrated as most West Ham youngsters do, went to Chelsea and was beyond abysmal, defensively he was as bad as anything we have. Think he's been ok for Pompey, though I've not really followed them, so I'll give you that. Is basically how i saw his career go tbh. If he moved here for the £3m he nearly did under SBR (who was blown out by Chelsea's £7m bid) he probably would be a fantastic player for us. His attitude is questionable for me, although young and i think thats been his problem however he seems to have settled down in the last year. As a player, he's certainly improved but for me his Chelsea career is over, and i think someone will pick up a decent player for cheap in the summer as Chelsea try to claw back a few million before his contract runs out. For me, he'd be the best fullback we currently have at the club, but since we've not one person with any talent in those positions its a bit of a pointless point
-
I don't much about him. But he used to be on Everton's books, didn't he? Used to play for Basel, had a decent WC last year.
