  1. 2017-2018 was very popular like. Can see that being a retro job in years to come, without the sponsor in the middle. It won't be associated with a completely shit season either, it will be a reminder of Rafa and a team of players who cared.
  2. Wouldn't be surprised if Murphy and Merino start this one. Possibly Clark as well.
  3. https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/black-people.1426051/
  4. Even if they won 5 out of their last 8 matches, they could still easily go down. They are completely fucked.
  5. Much better. He bloody frustrates me when he does needless fouls when trying to win the ball from a defender though. They're always so blatant, when he pushes massive centre backs over, because he doesn't have the strength. Needless.
  6. Are we happy going into next season with Clark and Lascelles as first choice centre backs, if promoted?
  7. Delph and Shelvey would be great together. Big fan of Hayden, but if we can get Delph then it is a no brainer.
  8. Fucking ridiculous. I had planned on going down for the full weekend for Brentford and stopping down my uncles. Now I'm gonna have to time of work the following week, which I wouldn't be able to cancel at the last minute if the match did move back to the Saturday, AND I can't book any travel until I know the date. Wankers.
  9. That's great to hear, we have to keep this guy fit, he's irreplaceable at the moment, although at some point Rafa will need to think about resting him. That international break should have helped him.

  11. It was only Merson to be fair, but I agree with the point. Thompson disagreed with him.
  12. I seen someone on Twitter mention that Pav said in his book we would have won the league in 95/96 if we had of kept Venison. It's an interesting point mind. He was brilliant for us and we could have really done with him in 1996.
  13. That did cross my mind, but you would probably have to leave Ritchie or Diame out to do it. Diame was rested on Tuesday so he will definitely start today. Gayle would have to play wide in the 3 behind Mitrovic though you would expect. I'm not really convinced he would be effective there, but Rafa has spoke of him being able to do it. Diame Perez Gayle Mitrovic
  14. I think Yedlin might come in for Anita, and Gouffran could be rested. With Rafa mentioning Murphy will play on Tuesday, it's interesting to see what happens with Mitrovic today. He has to start today or on Tuesday, but I can't see him starting him alongside Murphy.
  15. Fucking hell man, of course he meant it. The bloke was an absolute genius.
  16. It will probably be Hayden and Perez in them places on Tuesday. If he's planning on rotating the team, then it makes sense to play a couple of the weaker players today, rather than the best XI, then even more of our weak players on Tuesday surely?
  17. Have people not accepted yet that every player is not gonna start every match?
  18. I was thinking he could end up at West Brom before the end of the season.
  19. If they were both 100% fit then Anichebe is the better player, but as far as signings go, Murphy is a better signing for the league we are both in. Anichebe is so injury prone. Their biggest problem is Defoe getting injured, and they haven't exactly gave themselves much security if it does happen.
  20. He's terrible man. I was having a conversation with my mate before the Huddersfield match about strikers we could sign, and he mentioned Anichebe. I couldn't have argued more about what a poor signing he would have been. He has scored 24 league goals in 10 seasons. The mackems have went to town over us signing Murphy, but Murphy scored more league goals than that in one season a couple of years ago. Yes, it's a lower league, but for the league we're in, Murphy is the better signing for us, especially since he will be warming his arse on the bench 90% of the time.
  21. http://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/anichebe-signs-on-deal-until-the-end-of-the-season.1272127/ The positive spin
  22. What the fuck is that shit Did they not stop to think why the fuck we would agree to that? I hate this "Levy always gets the best deal" shite, he doesn't. He's overpaid on a number of players that didn't succeed at Spurs. It has been clarified on Twitter. Spurs would pay us £6m for each year of his contract, but if a club buys him before the 5 years if up, its up to Spurs to pay up the remainder of the money owed when sold. So the same as any installments based transfer that has ever happened then. Daft twats. Got to keep that Daniel Levy genius thing up haven't they?

  24. I had one of these telling me last night that we hadn't really made much profit on Sissoko because the £30m is in instalments.
