The new twitter noise just sounds like a ploy to get both teams to bid higher and raise the wage offer. Not holding my breath on this at all.
-
Will be in Manchester by Tuesday. Nailed on.

Hopefully all these "word is going round that the PIF newcastle project isn't as ambitious as it first seemed" and "PIF dont care" articles do actually piss PIF enough for them to take action and prove its wrong.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

The hilarity of everyone in this thread worrying about us signing him when in reality he will turn us down for someone like Crystal Palace. -
It was as much their communication skills and visibility imo.

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Honestly don't hate this. His is a ton better than lots of people are thinking. Eddie has been after him long before we went for Trafford too. We have to get Dubs and Vach out though now.. -
Incoming.. "Newcastle have walked away from the table after talks break down with new CEO and DOF. Will continue looking at other targets"
-
To be fair, that's their hope. They can't afford to lose him on top of everyone else.
-
Think they told Manure 100m@
-
So our new power move is to say we won't pay more than 30m for Wissa but we have double to pay for Watkins, who is older? Lol
-
On loan and with Sesko. Sure
-
If player and agent believe 26m was agreed upon last summer you can understand our bid and frustration
-
Quite the powerplay from us when we are already clearly fat down our list. Absolutely mental this. DCL will ultimately be our option to go to in another couple of weeks. He will then say no thanks and sign with Crystal Palace.
-
All reports are Wissa is replacing Wilson. Not convinced we are actually in for Sesko. There was chatter Barnes might be sold. With the rumours of Eddie looking to flex formations to accomodate two up top its possible we do that and bring Sesko in. Wissa can play wide too. Whether it's now or next summer bringing in someone to understudy Isak is smart, IF we can. Dont think we get more than what we paid for Barnes though. Grealish rumours have gone quiet thankfully. Id like to keep Barnes. He is a different option to Gordon.

Absolute calamity with this one. While it seems this summer we were at the mercy of Man City approving it or buying him back, we should have bought him last summer when Mitchell vetoed it. Hard not to get caught up in the media manufacutured tornado that escalates fans online into a panicked frenzy. Honestly wonder how look Eddie will stick before having enough. Surely nailed on for England if Tuchel continues to flounder. Manure will try their hand if Amorim doesnt turn things around quick.
-
But in for Watkins? Lol. Might not be able to afford Isak but Sesko, absolutely.

Its the depth for the full season that's the biggest worry. Alongside having two strikers that can score goals once Isak has gone. First team line up is arguable stronger though.

Martin Dúbravka (now playing for Burnley)

Phew. Was worried we weren't going to take 6 keepers as part of the squad for a second there. -
Well this is all very shit. Just get him out quickly and get it done if he wants out. Can't be arsed with another saga Preferably anywhere but another PL club. Liverpool nailed on. The irony of watching him and ekitike when it could have been here a week ago. Gordon to throw toys out of the pram next?
-
Source put pounds when he meant Euros?

Life in the game is potentially short. If someone like Liverpool comes in now, likely doubles his wage and gives him an almost guaranteed trophy next season, do you wait and gamble? We know which way his agent will push him and players do tend to bet on themselves. Its a big gamble though for the reasons you listed. Wouldn't surprise me to see Manure make a power play for him too and offer silly wages. I think he has more sense but its happened before.
