Owen isnt getting any better and his pace/ability is shrinking faster than miss pepperpot. Neither are staying though, so its a moot point. They both offered too little this season to get hung over about. World class striker sorry but He has all the ability and skills to be one, he just needs decent coaching and application, the latter being the biggest problem.

Add Guthrie to that list and I'm with you, but be realistic man, we would be lucky to keep one of them let alone all. Bassong and Oba are saleable assets, even if we dont want to sell them there are little guarentees they will stay if an offer comes along.

He will be off, just trying to make nice before he leaves. There is no way he will take the pay cut needed for us to keep him. Not to mention the fact that other than Bassong he is one of the only players we have that we could possibly sell for upwards of 4m. Martins is a luxury we wont be able to afford.

He can't expect them to be appointing him before any takeover is complete. Maybe not, but I don't expect him to(although he might) wait around until that point, when the majority of potential targets have been missed and preparations are weeks behind, reducing the chances of him steering us back to the premiership. Can see Shearer walking away tmrw if he doesnt get the answer he wants. I dont blame him either.
